Come to think of it, sending a bag to outer space might be a great way to get some patina...Well we all know that Clemence blisters in space and also zero G really messes with Kelly sellier. However box calf does just fine. I hear the Alpha Centauri boutique has a great craftsalien to fix any issues. Only, you think it takes a long time to get a bag from Paris.....

This was during my pre-Hermes days and I actually hiked up with a Kate Spade bag! If I have to do it all over again, I’d probably bring Ms. Kelly with my tressage crossbody strap. Lol!
I was up at Mohonk last summer with DH and DS1 and DS1 wanted to do the labyrinth/lemon squeeze:

No place to store my B25, Mohonk is very traditional and I don’t think there is even a safe in the room (no TVs, no a/c).
However, the gift shop had these amazing stretchy backpacks:

Which my B25 fit in perfectly - so I was able to climb the mountain with my B25 on my back! It was so worth it....here are a few pics.....
This last one is interesting....if you look to the left of the pic you will see an opening in the ground - that is where you climb up out of the lemon squeeze! It’s very steep and narrow, just the width of me and my backpack -

OT but I love Mohonk. I try to go and climb every fall. I lost one of my really beautiful Chanel brooches inside the lemon squeeze last year. Climbed back down to search for it but I couldn't find it. All I saw was a ton of lizards in-between the rocks
