sorry to hear this! they didn't give you any particular reason for the cancellation other than a "just because" kind of answer?

i hope you are able to get your mini bucket some other way, if not during the next re-launch via the MG webshop.

They just said it was cancelled because they couldn't fulfill the order. I have a regular bucket with them I am waitng for in Brandy. It was originally going to be August then it was moved to October. They did give me the option to cancel that one, but I am hoping to receive it. So strange, but maybe the stores will get more in late September or October and many of us can get the ones we want.

I hope your returns go smoothly.
I have never had anything but great experiences with them. I guess the popularity of the bags caught them off guard.
 
So I had an interesting conversation with a BG customer service representative today. I had called to check up on the status of a couple of preorders (because MG bags are like potato chips [emoji6]), and was told that they were both still on track for the estimated dates but that they are scheduled to ship from the NYC store, not the website. She also told me that I would know when they're shipping out because I would get an email from the website canceling my online order, apparently because the fulfillment from the store renders it a new store order in place of the web one. ???[emoji54] maybe this accounts for some of the confusion? It definitely seems like an overly complicated, confusing way of doing things.
 
^ it is so strange that the web order gets cancelled once the item is fulfilled in-store. i wish BG would have been more transparent about where the items are getting fulfilled (in-store vs at their warehouse). had i known the bags would get fulfilled in-store, i would have just called the store directly and order through an SA. the benefit would have been 1) i can contact the SA directly with questions, 2) i would receive a call about the shipment of the bag with a receipt for in-store orders, 3) the SA would get commission for the sales.

my returns have been received at the store and now it's just a matter of when will my bags get processed for return credit.
 
update: my returns were processed and credited back without any problems. THANK GOODNESS.

not sure if i will buy MG bags from them again, especially if the items are to be fulfilled from the stores.
 
Update: Since my fun episode with BG in August, things have GREATLY improved. I had pre-ordered a number of MG bags from them back in June. Some were shipped last month (re: this thread) and some are shipping now. This time around, I am automatically getting emails w/receipts to notify me that the items have been charged, and I am also getting emails with the tracking information. This is how things should have been done from the start; better late than never.

I hope others are having a more positive experience with their MG orders via BG, and most importantly, are enjoying your beautiful purchases!

Oh boy. I just got my shipping notification that my "brown/red" mini bucket is being shipped from one of BGs stores in PA and should arrive on October 6. This is the one that I ordered on July 24 and was then told it was out of stock/delayed on July 26. So curious to officially find out what color it really is (although all signs point towards Cammello/Rosa rather than Cammello/Dolly). Thanks to this message board for the tips regarding the returns process : )
 
Hi! Did anyone order the black/ballerina lady bag on BG restock this week? Has it shipped as of now? I placed my order on Tuesday and received no notifications after the initial acknowledgement of my order :(

I just received notification that the BG NY store had processed it. And it will be here by Tuesday!
They have quite gap in communication between online stocks and warehouse shipping dept, it wouldn't be surprising to me if they canceled (which I hope isn't the case!).

I'd call up BG and have the representative inquire about your order ;)

I got my notification that it was processed and then a couple of days later got an email from the store with the tracking number. It's like the online store transfers the responsibility to the actual store.
I've been waiting since July! Finally getting my order:)

Oh my! Well, the Brandy raw bucket in large, that I had ordered before I had gotten any of the MG bags back in July.

Then I ordered the black raw mini backpack in tumbled leather. I think they are shipping them together from the store.

Ugh! I'm going to have to make some decisions this week on what stays.

I'm trying to think which colors and leathers are going to be best for upcoming rainy El Niño weather:)

I do have my Chamberlains milk sitting here....

thanks for the update! May i ask if you also ordered the lady bag? btw i checked their stock level when i placed the order and there were "2 units left" after my order processed... really hope this isn't a fluke and that they do indeed have it in stock and didn't sell it on the floor :(
