A collection of my own handmade bags and SLG‘s

Thank you for sharing, you sure are talented! Your briefcase looks so well-made, and I like the last shot of how your Kelly-inspired bag could be potentially worn. Did it take a long time to complete the briefcase?

Good looking + great talent = Deadly combination.

Thank you so much. Sometimes it's very difficult to put a figure on time when it comes to crafting something like the briefcase. I've worked on it on a few weekends, but never really watched the time. I'd probably say it took me somewhere between 30-50 hours to finish. The sewing always takes a very long time. The strap alone is around 4 hours of intense "fast" sewing. If I do it casually it will take twice the amount of time at least.

Okay, so I have to admit, I was very inspired by Louis Vuittons Cardholder in this case. I‘ve bought it about half a year ago and I totally loved it. I sat down and made an inspired cardholder for my dad. I used some side of the belly and tail crocodile leather and paired it with a cowhide. Luckily they were all about the same thickness and therefore fit really flush next to eachother. This project took me around 12 hours in total, I did it all in one go.

wow great job!! You should open an etsy shop! I would def buy a piece like this!

Your creations are very attractive to look at.
Can I ask a mundane question, how do you make the stitching so even and precise, following straight lines? Also, doesn’t it hurt your fingers when u punch the leather, it’s so thick!
I also love crafting for my fam but am nowhere near as talented ;)

Oh well first of all thank you. I personally don‘t feel like the stitches are anywhere perfect to be fair! Especially when punching through several thick layers, it never ends up perfectly even on the backside because I have not much control over it moving. I use a metal punching tool to punch the holes, theres some with 2, 5 or 9 teeth in my case. I try to follow the edge as good as I can and because I don‘t have to punch each hole individually, but have them already in likes of 2,5 or 9 holes it makes it easier to go straight. Yet, sometimes I still need pliers to pull through very very thick leather even if the holes are prepunched. My fingers do hurt after sewing for a couple of days. But mainly from pulling the needles through the holes. I hope this kinda answered your question?
