^Think of the stories we've read about church leaders, scoutmasters, athletic coaches--all the activities our children were in, including school where the occasional teacher later was revealed to be a pedophile.

I truly don't know how we can protect our children except to become familiar with the adults in their lives and teaching them to recognize when adults cross boundaries and to say *NO*. Thank goodness our sons weren't molested by the teacher in their school, but undoubtedly some kids they knew were. There was also a local priest who was convicted of molestation--I shudder to think of all the children traumatized by him. They really are everywhere and we need to find effective ways to raise our kids to resist the *grooming* they do before the crime happens.

My daughter is 16 months-old and i've already started teaching her the proper names for her body parts because child molesters try to trick our young children by exploiting games and silly names, as she gets older I plan of getting her this book http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/those-are-my-private-parts-diane-hansen/1006954953?ean=9781482544374

He's always made me uncomfortable. I was never able to watch 7th Heaven because of him. One of my favorite shows, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has him in a couple episodes and I can't bring myself to watch his scenes. I don't know what it is was about him.

Stephen Collins is accusing his wife of being behind his child molestation revelations because she's using it to screw him in their divorce ... and now we know there is A LOT of money on the line.

Faye Grant filed legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- in which she lists their assets, which she says total more than $14 million. Grant says she wants half, but Collins' people tell TMZ she wants pretty much everything.

As for the assets, the most interesting is the smallest. Collins appeared on "Scandal," and only pocketed $7,682.

As for the other assets:

-- more than $5 million in property
-- Collins' $16,000 Rolex
-- $40,000 in art
-- Collins' $100,000 vintage guitar collection

Grant says Collins made $40K an episode for "Revolution," but only $5,500 for "The Fosters."

Collins' people say Grant was using the tape to extort more than her fair share in their divorce.

Stephen Collins Faye Grant Asked Witness to Lie About Molestation

EXCLUSIVE

Stephen Collins' estranged wife tried to persuade a witness to make false claims about sexual molestation to authorities, and when the witness refused she retaliated against that witness ... this according to Collins' lawyer.

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan tells TMZ ... the would-be witness will testify in the upcoming divorce trial. Kaplan claims Grant wanted the witness to claim he/she saw Collins molest a girl -- not one of the 3 mentioned in the audiotape. Kaplan says the would-be witness saw no such sexual contact, and when that person refused to testify Grant went on the warpath.

A source connected with Collins also tells TMZ ... during the divorce trial his lawyer will attempt to paint Grant as a fraud. She claimed in legal docs Collins left her destitute, but the source says she was actually blowing between $20K and $40K a month on her credit cards and Collins paid the bills.

Stephen Collins and Faye Grant

He played a reverend and devoted dad for 10 years on TV's 7th Heaven and in real life served as a eucharistic minister in his free time, but now Stephen Collins stands accused of having had "inappropriate sexual contact" with underaged girls.

On Tuesday, TMZ posted audio that Collins's ex-wife, Faye Grant, 57, secretly recorded during a therapy session. On the tape posted by TMZ, Collins, 67, allegedly admits he molested three minors.

In a statement, Grant says she had nothing to do with its release.

"I woke up today to learn that an extremely private recording I handed over to the authorities in 2012 per their request in connection with a criminal investigation was recently disseminated to the press," Grant said. "I had no involvement whatsoever with the release of the tape to the media."

According to court documents filed in November 2013, Grant first discovered Collins's disturbing secret in 2012, while the two were still married.

"On January 19, 2012, I learned for the first time that Stephen had been living a secret life," she declared in the official documents, obtained by PEOPLE. "In the presence of his therapist, Stephen admitted that he had engaged in a long term pattern of sexually abusing minor children, including sexually molesting three young girls over a decade ago." She goes on to say that she believes Collins has "narcissistic personality disorder with sociopathic tendencies."

The couple, who first met on the set of the 1982 pilot Tales of the Gold Monkey, wed in April 1985 and were married for 27 years until 2012, when Collins filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Grant told E! News in May 2012 that she was blindsided by the divorce filing – even though they had been separated since February 2012.

"Stephen's filing for divorce is a surprise. I am devastated," she told E! News at the time. "I wish him the very best in whatever path he chooses to take. Twenty-seven years of marriage in Hollywood is the equivalent of 189 dog years. I was exhausted."

At the same time, Collins released a statement portraying their split as perfectly amicable. "My wife and I are moving forward," he said. "She has been my dearest friend and a loving mother. I know we'll go through this process in a way that honors our family." The two have one daughter, Kate Collins, now 25.

Attorneys for both Grant and Collins have not returned a request for comment.

So his attorney knew about the tape, I presume he heard it and kept the information To himself

Over the course of my representation of Stephen in the divorce case, Faye has repeatedly threatened to give this audio tape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled."

Many women KNOW the kind of men they are with and/or married to. I believe that this Woman Knew what he was, but she continued to live the HWood live, and not until this rship soured and she could use this against him, did it become a problem.

No way in hell you're married 20+ years and not know.

Oh she knew. Based on the recording - or the parts that were played on TV - she didn't sound surprised & I think she asked him about it. It wasn't like he was revealing something she didn't already know. She led the questions. I just wonder how long she's known about it. That's why I suspect there's a lot more to this story. While I'm in no way excusing him or what he did, his wife is no innocent victim in all this - I don't doubt his attorneys allegations about her

It didn't sound quite that way to me. It sounded like it came out first during therapy - and then after that she probably planned to question and tape him further, which is what she did and why it sounds really controlled.
