$700 to repair cabas piano or buy Iena?

Hi All! I have had my Cabas Piano forever! One of my first LV and it is on awful shape! One of the handles is actually ripping! All of the leather needs to be replaced and it would cost me $700! I do love my Cabas! But $700?!?
Yikes?!?! Repair or purchase a new Iena tote???

If you love the bag, the repair fee is well worth it. It will come back as new! I vote for the repair!
(but yes, it's definitely a tough choice)

I do LOVE my cabas! I guess it might be worth it! I can't even use it now at all cause the strap is ripping.

I agree with Fab. If you love the bag then repair it. It will be like having a new bag that you already love. And it's cheaper than a new Iena (which I bet won't last as long as your Piano has!)

Repair. I wish I could repair my original Speedy but the canvas has gotten an area of mold. The Cabas Piano is a lovely bag!

who quoted $700? i don't know hold old your piano is, but if it's already an older bag maybe you could get a non-LV leather shop to replace the leather for much less? i had all the leather on my NF done with a non-LV shop for much less than LV quoted. it was a verifed pf shop that many members here use. just a way to save if you're ok with going outside LV for that service

Earlier I voted for repair. But, do you want a new bag? Is that is what you want ( to change the style), then buy the new bag. Maybe repair the Cabas later?

Well you can buy a nice pre-loved cabas piano for much less than $700. So I'd just sell it and buy another one.
