For sallyca- my favorite 49 Sq. Mi. bag is the Starlet Top-Zip Hobo - it's the perfect medium size - it's about the same size at Hayden-Harnett's Inka/Newman.

As far as the leather on the Clingys being the same - it's high quality Italian leather, but on the Clingy, it's not as smooshy because the wallet is more structured. I'm sure the ladiess can answer that better than I can ...

Okay, I'm flirting with the idea of a Flirt. Will I like it? I am a big bag gal. Will it be too shallow for me? (Although I happen to be quite shallow, I prefer my bags not be.) How much fits in there? (besides a Clingy, which, if it doesn't fit, is a definite deal-breaker!)

queenie, I personally found the Flirt too long and shallow, so my Flirt has been rehomed. Lu is the Flirt lady, she can give you her extremely educated thoughts and opinions about the Flirt, as I believe that's one of her favorite 49 Sq. Mi. styles. And yes, the Clingy fits in the Flirt. <--- say that last sentence out loud three times and TELL me it doesn't sound extremely odd.

Sally - I believe they use the same leather on the bags and the clingys.
As far as texture the loganberry had a slightly different texture - not as naked feeling as some of the others. Not sure if any other color was finished that way. The patents have a thick layer of the shiny stuff over the soft leather and are heavier.

I hunted around a bit last night and saw quite a few that I thought I might like but I need to do more research. Wish the pics on the 49 sq mi site were better and showed more views of each bag.

If you like big bags I don't think you'll like the flirt. I've got a reveal coming up here in a few minutes.... a from one square to another square avocado flirt. I took some pictures of what all I can fit inside comfortably..... It's also a long bag (east west) so it's kinda a hard bag for petite person to carry. It ends up looking really weird on certain frames.

Hmmm, I am far from petite. 5'9", size 10/12ish. I just have a lot of stuff. Oh, what to do, what to do?

^see, and I am a short little fluffy thing, so it didn't work well on me. The Starlet's my bag, and my Dijon is to arrive tomorrow! I hope Mary put the 2011 brochure in the box; if she did, you KNOW I'll be posting scans for you guys!!!
