4 prongs VS 6 prongs

If that's for studs, I'd prefer 6 prongs, but when comes to rings, 4 prongs look way better.

this is a major bump-but I'm curious which setting makes the stone seem bigger? 4 or 6? seems like mixed reviews. I'm talking about for a 2.27 carat VS2 H, GIA XXX stone on a diamond band. It's already waiting in my bf's sock drawer somewhere, it's a 4 prong...but I'm curious how different it would look with a 6 prong! lol thanks!

For a round I think a 6 prong looks bigger, bec it keeps the round shape and the prong tips give it more visual spread.
