I have no issues at all and also own it in box leather - no scratches around the closures from my nails. Its ease of use is the reason I use it that often.

I don’t own the oblique but I don’t find the bag heavy at all (comparable to the Chanel Medium I would say). Also, the strap is quite comfortable and nicely balances the weight on my shoulders.
The 30 Montaigne line has really grown on me - especially the Box version. Was waiting for the right combo and then this python came along thought the new navy/black guitar strap matched perfectly!

Hi ladies, I am trying to decide between box calf and crinkled lambskin for 30 Montaigne. Which one do you think is more resistant? My biggest fear with box calf is that I know it can blister under rain. I am not worried about scratches as much. And I really love the look of box and crinkled lambskin, so not considering grainy one (which I know will be sturdier than both). Can I get your thoughts on this please?
I don’t have either one, but I do have a small bag in box calf. If scratches do not bother you, I’d say go for box calf. The bag is small enough that if it rains, you can tuck it under your shoulder or your clothing to protect it. The box leather is so luxe and beautiful in this style. I think the crinkled lamb is nice too, but box leather is the epitome of luxury leather IMO. Good luck with your decision!
