Hi. I'm not an authenticator, but since no one is weighing in, and I have a Gao bag (from 2008 - year L), I'll offer up my opinion and perhaps get a discussion started here that will help you. If you look at the Q&A at the bottom of the listing, the seller says she purchased it at Hermes on Madison Ave. four years ago, but neither the bag's lining nor the dust bag pictured is of the newer herringbone era. I am not certain about the lining and dust bag, as all my bags are 2007 and newer, so maybe someone else here can comment on that. The seller also says there is no date stamp, but perhaps just doesn't know where to look. My date stamp is located on the underside of the Hermes label inside the bag (although I've seen them listed on eBay with the date stamp on the underside of the zipper pull as well).

Personally, I wouldn't bid on this bag without a lot more (and much better quality) photos, especially since the seller's main experience is in plants, not Hermes. From what little you can see in the listing photos, the hardware looks like it may be somewhat tarnished, and the lining looks like it may be quite dirty judging from what little you can see of it. I'd suggest you ask the seller for more info and detailed photos before deciding whether or not to bid. I'm not aware that Gao was ever faked, so it's probably authentic, but you as a buyer deserve to know exactly what you're getting, and, so far, this listing is not delivering on that account. Hope this helps a little bit!

If you are referring to the orange Lindy, the listing has not been removed. I am new to TPF and am definitely not an expert on Hermes, but I have several lindys and birkins. The pictures are not good but I think the bag looks ok.

Can you post better pictures than were in the auction (going by the pics requested in the first post)?

The orange Lindy has not been removed. I know the pictures are not good but I have purchased some beautiful Chanel bags from this seller and they were all authentic. Her other buyers seem very happy as well.

For this particular bag, I would want to see more detailed pictures before offering an opinion. This seller's expertise seems to be in Chanel - not in Hermes.

Honestly, there are a couple of things that have me concerned - though these may be attributable to wear or age of the bag or sloppy craftsmanship. But I'm not 100 per cent comfortable with it. Sorry - that's the best I can say.

Since it's older, you might want to consider taking it into Hermes for spa to see if it is accepted by the craftsmen.

I agree with you mistikat and sorry about the bad link. Since this is the first time I'm buying Hermes. I am scared if the pics are not good. I rather go look for another that I know for sure what I'm buying is authentic not fake. Thank you for your opinion

Thanks Ela for letting me know that it hasn't been removed. I rather be safe than sorry. I kind of avoid fishy ebay seller. I wouldn't buy from Ebay unless I know for sure it's authentic and seller is reputable but Thanks though
