I gave you my opinion about the bag. I have a doubt. Enough for me to stay away in a fiirst step.

My opinion about this seller is that they are far from beeing expert at Hermes and that does not make my doubt thiner...
But they seem very honest and serious about their business.

So one way could be to ask them how they know the bag is authentic. Any information about the bag's history ? etc....

I think this is your key.

perlrare, thanks for this. I will decide to have my cousin meet her at H in Cali or move on (just such a rare price/color combo), but bother you all no further. Thanks for the time you have already taken.

It is actually not a rare combo and the price is high for the bag, should it prove to be authentic.

tokku, if it matters at all, I too have doubts about the bag. Can't say definitively fake, but it makes me uneasy. Based on the opinions you have already received, I'd say time to move on.....

Well at least I've met another Aspi LOL! I reported the offending item & Ebay withdrew it straight away! and took action against them! Ebay is helping with a refund.
THANKS! All! I will look on your lists of recommended sellers. x

Dear tokku,

I have inspected all the pictures from the seller's link you posted and inspected them individually, in the largest size and definition. Very closely.

I can't give you a green light. Sorry.
There are very subbtle things that I can't let go through....

The bag look very nice, globally very good. But when it comes to authentication, we have to make sure. To make sure on this one, I had to dig deep in the details, and well... there is a doubt.

Thank you GK, Perlerare, Pepper and Mistikat and everyone else who weighed in on this birkin.
Item: Hermes 35cm Gris Tourterelle Gray-Beige TOGO Birkin Bag
Item #: 330404767816
Seller: *patina*

I was thinking very seriously about a Bottega Veneta cabat from this seller (patina) and while I know you authenticate each bag individually on its own merits and these are two different bags, I find your statements re the Hermes bag helps me in my where to buy BV cabat decision making process!

I think it rather odd that the lock/keys and clochette are not available. The feet look as if the bag was quite used. I also am not a fan of ads with long explanations as to why the person is selling the bag or what they have on order to buy It means nothing and only makes me question the seller. I would pass on this as no one is feeling too comfortable with this bag.

thanks gracekelly:smile1:

Hi everyone

as I said in my posts last week, I had a look at the 1000 euro birkin bag today and it appears to be genuine. I didn't buy it yet because first I'm taking it to the Hermès shop tonight, to have definitive proof. The only thing that bothers me is that it doesn't have the new dust bag, but the previous orange one. Apparently the owner has several hermes bags and switched the dust bag with an older one because she liked the new ones better.
Still, it's almost 100% fool proof, I checked all possible details and they match, I'll keep you posted on what they say in Hermès!

I adore your "positive thinking" ......Although, all the authenticators here had nothing positve to say about this particular bag, you still insist on pursuing with the purchase............ Good luck to you...........;)

Thanks Sydspy, you can call it positive thinking, I call it stubbornness ;-) I'm only paying after I get proof from Hermès that it's genuine, the seller is quite sure of it though, otherwise she wouldn't let me take it to Hermès would she.. how very exciting!

I'm just curious. Have you handled a lot of Birkins so that you would know what to look for that would make a bag authentic?

And curious to know which Hermes you are planning to take this to...

Em78, I am totally at a loss here. You came here for opinions, got them (unanimously fake) and yet you now feel you can make an informed assessment that this bag is genuine?

Hi everyone,

This regards the FAKE Mini Croc Miel Kelly 20cm that I posted here a week or so ago and subsequently bought. I have been asked by Paypal to get a letter from an authenticator, and I have contacted CarolDiva. Would it be possible for those of you who recognized this bag as fake to PM me with any specific points? I would be truly grateful if you would. I want to relay them to CarolDiva.

Thanks in advance,
chloechloe
