21P sweet flap unboxing! + a bit about the sweet mini

Just picked up mine yesterday! Pic from my SA prior to boxing, and yes it came with a box woohoo! It clearly had just arrived to the store brand new with everything in tow. I’m waiting to do a proper unboxing reveal for Instagram, but first impressions: light weight, beautiful gold hardware, “squishy” leather that others have referenced, muted white color, can crossbody comfortably (I’m 5’5”), pretty similar in size to small classic flap. I’m actually happy I returned my medium CF with lghw for this!

Congrats on your beautiful bag! What’s the dimension of the large size? Could you post mod shots?

In some photos I've seen, like this one from the Chanel store stock thread, the flap looks slightly curved just like on the CF. But other photos make it look much more straight. Is it just photo variations or are some sizes more curved at the flap?

From what I've seen, the mini and medium have a more curved flap while the large size has a straighter one.

Medium:

Large:

I hope that helps!

This bag looks beautiful!! I’m actually hoping to see it irl. Hopefully my SA has one for me. But am worried about potential color transfer/ discoloration over time. Have always been afraid of owning white bags. Any tips on how to care for the bag?
TIA!

@Saaski now that you have had the bag a while (not sure if you’ve had many chances to use it though), how do you feel about it? Has it been holding its shape ok and is it quite light to carry with it full? Thank you again for your post here and your video. I have subscribed to your channel!
I haven't had a lot of chance to use it yet, but I still love it! I was worried some of the excitement would fade after reading some negative opinions about the bag, but not at all.

It is still very light to carry when full, but obviously that depends how full you fill it and what you put inside. I have been careful not to overstuff and the shape is holding well :) I will definitely do an update video once I've used it more.

Thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear you've enjoyed the content

I fell in love with the sweet mini and sweet flap bag that was discussed in the 21P shopping thread, but aside from the few people talking about it in the thread, I couldn't find much information about them. Well, I just got my own medium sweet flap and wanted to share!

These seasonal bags are in caviar leather, fully leather lined, and look so classic to me. Plus, the sweet flap can be worn crossbody on top of on the shoulder. The sweet mini strongly resembles a mini square with edge stitching...and in the caviar leather. I really can't believe more people aren't talking about these bags.

For those of you who are interested, I just released a full unboxing video on my YouTube channel, and I go more into depth on the details (you can skip to 07:28 for the actual details).

Thank you for letting me share!

@Saaski Thank you for sharing this, after watching your videos several times this past week I was able to order the white but first choice was navy as a “practical” option. However, in the long run this is a good price point/opportunity for me to get a white (close to classic style) bag. I’d be far too worried about wear/color transfer to consider ever paying more when my budget allows. Even preloved white/beige is so expensive for good condition. I’ll save my navy preference for a classic piece eventually I hope :)

I was worried about this too, for a moment. But I realized that not every bag is for everyone, especially when it's unique! I remember how this bag made my heart palpitate as soon as I saw it and knew I had to have it. I've actually grown more and more fond of its "nuances" compared to the classic flap, like the lay flat chain, single flap, thicker edge stitching, and slightly softer feel but yet still structured. I've seen so many quality issues with classic flaps these days, and yet this seasonal piece that I picked up (med white sweet flap) appears as flawless as can be - best quilt-lineup and stich work I've seen in a while. And who can be mad at the price :graucho:

Thanks for starting this thread to let us discuss/learn/find our little-known gem
