Hard to say without seeing. If it’s small enough that you won’t notice and you absolutely have to have this bag then go for it! Otherwise, pass, there will always be other bags...
would you mind sharing the picture? I might be in the minority here but I understand now from 3 different SAs the bag is getting more tough to come by ( Chanel, Neimans and Nordstrom) so if you believe you can live with it, and the color spread is what you wanted ....then keep it.
If it’s in the bottom and not visible...I would probably be ok with it ONLY if I couldn’t find a replacement. And if I couldn’t go without it.

Thank you ladies for sharing your opinions. Unfortunately I totally forgot to take a picture of the discolouration.
I was so excited for this bag based on the runway photo and then totally thought I would pass on it after had seen the irl photos. But my SA said she got one for me and insisted I should see it in person. I thought why not. To my surprise, the bag actually looked much prettier in person. The one I reserved had more of the teal tone which I prefer coz I love cool tones. I was soooooo happy until I saw the tiny discolouration on the bottom. It was a huge turn off for me. Guess I was too disappointed that I forgot to take a picture.
As to whether it’s noticeable or not, it’s hard to say. I certainly can’t see it from afar but I definitely noticed it when I was examining the bag. Considering the price point, my first reaction was to turn it down. So I left the store empty handed.
But my husband keeps telling me that nobody would even notice the discolouration on the bottom when I wear it. He even said that things like this will eventually happen once I start to wear the bag.
I am not in the US and this bag is hard to find here. Now I am really torn.

Also there’s no replacement. This might be the last one where I live. It’s kinda like a take it or leave it situation.

The price is high indeed but the distribution of colours on the bag looks ok to me. I think the front of the flap looks more gold/yellow but the photos are overexposed so they look lighter than what they probably are IRL
pass! you’ll always notice it. there’s always a next must have bag.
I’ve got a lady dior with a small (3 mm?) wrinkle in the leather (upper left corner of the bag) which led someone else to return it. At the time it was the only way i could get the exact colorway i wanted - it was sold out everywhere else. I personally have no regrets because it’s the backside of the bag & so small you truly cannot notice it unless i were to point it out to you. But my personality has always been a “perfect is the enemy of good” type. My guess is if it bothers you enough to post here then it probably would bother you enough you should pass on that bag
In my opinion, I feel like if you are paying *that much* for a bag, it should be perfect. In particular, things that relate to the structure - some of the lopsided bags I’ve seen come out of Chanel in the past few years are horrifying.
But I guess for color I feel a bit different. I have an iridescent purple mermaid Gabrielle from 2017 that I have heavily used, and it has some pretty gnarly scratches and gauges now. It doesn’t stop me from using it, but obviously the 2-3MM spot on the bottom of the bag where they missed the dye wouldn’t bother me at all at this point because obviously it would just be part of the normal wear and tear. Especially for an LE bag where the overall color distribution is so important and there really aren’t other options.

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts. After much debate on this bag, I have decided to pass it. Too much money to settle. And I feel like I am trying so hard to persuade myself to accept the defect and that I won’t be enjoying the bag so much if it is a impulse buy.
