Agree with @Bag peace that the Charlie bracelet is adorable!

Today I’m recovering from spending 10 hours out with my girlfriend yesterday shopping-tomorrow I have to sit in the hairdressers having a head of highlights.

The day started with me getting sunburnt in the car on the way to London, with her managing to find Every conceivable speed bump en route.I was very glad to get out of her car!

We weren’t in Central London(where I could have found far more to buy), but I did find some things.
We had a lovely Italian lunch, with a very attentive waiter who I tipped generously.

My gf bought clothes.

I bought
A Sephora nail varnish (my Chanel one had gone thick)- from my usual vendeuse
2 White Company white cotton percale deep fitted sheets
Tiffany Elsa Peretti black leather hearts passport cover(made in Japan)
Tiffany large crystal rose vase

I saw some clothes, but nothing nicer than those I already have, and there will be plenty more opportunities to buy clothes this year.

So one SLG in this month, my passport fits perfectly.

The vase box was quite a challenge to carry around!

I tried on some designer clothes, some fitted, but I have a “look”- I’d rather wait until I’m 100% sure.

Today my legs ache a bit from all of the walking, although we came back because it was my gf, rather than me(32 years older) who was tired.
I told her that that her generation have no stamina!

I have been pulling bags I have not used in ages. It has been fun. I wish the rain would stop so I could try more of them. I had picked up a different bag. It was a Dr. Martens bag. My husband saw it in the car on the way home and for the first time ever said a bag was hideous. I was going to use it as an alternate rain bag. He doesn't normally react to my bags at all, unless they are GFG because he loves the smell of their leather. I showed him a picture of the Tory that I later ordered and he said that was nicer than the Dr. Martens. I temporarily listed the Dr. Martens thinking it wouldn't sell and then decide which bag I liked more once the Tory arrived. I did that because it was going to be the only slightly sunny day for pictures. Well the Dr. Marten sold and I still think it was cute. The strap was a bit hard on it, but the top handles would have been comfortable. Did you ever let a significant other effect how you feel about an item?
Unfortunately many times. My ex loved to spoil my joy.

I have the date through for the hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic-Friday 18th July, my girlfriend will be driving me to the hospital and home.

I have to go for a pre-op on Monday 14th as it’s classed as an operation because of the anaesthetic, my admirer has gallantly agreed to drive me there (it’s about an hour away).

I’m nervous about the procedure, and don’t really respond to anaesthetics very well either.

The results will indicate whether or not I need a full hysterectomy, but unfortunately there isn’t time to operate and recover before my holiday, despite the fact that my surgeon would otherwise have put me top of the operating list.

My Father is worried about me-at the moment my life is very hectic!
Sending you a hug!

Thank you. I edited my reply above, but I also took picks of the labels in case you want to search vintage finds on eBay. My friend was very generous and her mom had great taste. The sequined jacket is Diane friez. The chiffon caftan over an emerald green slip is Hanae mori. The jackets are Armani. The gold and black sequined dress is george F couture from Saks. And the raccoon coat is Maximillian from Bonwit Teller.

I’m currently a 36 Chanel RTW; 4-6 US sizing; and these items are about a size 12 US. Which gives you an idea of size inflation should you wish to hunt for comparable vintage pieces. :)

Everything is gorgeous! These fabulous pieces found their perfect new owner in you.

Btw: size inflation is real. Thank you for pointing this out. It's so important to consider when buying vintage. (Always ask for measurements.)

Inspired by the Labubu thread...
I'm not a labubu person, nor a bag charm person in general, however!!! I get a good dose of whimsy in my actual bags- the Kate Spade Owl, Mr. Grumpy, anything whimsical or novelty. Bags that are furry animal themed always catch my eye. That's where I indulge the big kid inside me!
Which got me thinking, how do you cater to your whimsical side in your personal collections? Is it labubus/hello kitty/ etc., iridescent leathers and hardware, novelty bags, or something else entirely?
:)
For me it's interesting vintage bags or painting/ scribbling with thread on clothes or a bag. In general I am not a bag charms person. The few I have are homemade. I'm not into Labubu at all, but used to carry a silly Mc Donalds toy on a bag for ages.

Well the Dr. Martens that went out went to the right Person. She was throughly delighted and gave me a fabulous review. So glad I made someone’s day. I am counting that as an in and an out since it didn’t go back to the retailer. We went from weeks of rain to sweaty hot. Time to wear the actual summer bags. I will be able to try a few more forgotten favorites.
