December Activities and Challenges - pick and choose as you please.

I. 2024 Year In Review Reflection
(Thanks @Vintage Leather)

Utilize these thought starters to evaluate your collection, your usage patterns and your lessons learned in 2024.
• What is your most useful purse?
• What is your best purchase of the year?
• We’ve all had a lot of lifestyle changes this year - how has it affected your style?
• What is the one thing we’ve learned this year that you want to take into the next?

II. Setting 2025 Goals
Take this month to consider what you want to do with your handbag collection, wardrobe or even your beautiful life in 2025. Share these thoughts in January when we start the 2026 Shopping Your Closet thread.

III. End of year optional challenges

• Holiday colors: December has many holidays celebrated across the world - red & green, brown & gold, blue & white and more! Pick the holiday that you want to honor and wear / show off your bags in those traditional colors.

• End with a bang: As we come to the last part of the year, wear the last bag you’ve purchased at least 3 times this month.

@Vlad please pin this to the top of our thread.

I don't wear loafers or flats at all. I wear boots. Flats just don't stay on my feet.
For me, it is sneakers when the weather is warm, sandals when it is hot and boots when it is cold. I started PT so wore sneakers to my appointment and the rest of the day my ankles froze so from now on I'll change into boots after PT. I'm in California so it's not as cold as most of the rest of the country but you get used to it. It dropped to 38F last night.

I wore my newest bag 7 times this month so I completed that challenge. It is the easiest as the newest bags always get the most wear. I bought this bag earlier in the month. It's a Dooney & Bourke. I bought it after someone on the forum posted theirs so you could say the forum made me do it! It was a very good price.

For the rest of the year I have a couple of bags I always wear around the holidays that don't get used much the rest of the time.

November stats

Nothing at all bagwise- No bags or slgs in or out.
I only wore the easy, practical green YSL all month.

From time to time I browsed the preloved market, but nothing really caught my interest. Another, more fancy DeManta Clutch? I looked but what was in my price range wasn't right and No, I don't need one! The black suede I have is perfect

And I see ads for Vivaia shoes everywhere, touting their comfort and walkability. I actually first ran across them at a music festival when I asked someone about her cute shoes and she gushed about how great they were for walking and standing all day. Someday I’ll break down and try them.
...the Vivaia hype.... I own a pair of their very pointy ballet flats. They are ok, but I had expected more. Maybe it's this particular style, that is fairly stiff or the fact, that they are half a size too big for me.I bought them second hand, never worn in box for 15€.

If I wasn't so scared of ordering directly from the website ( will there be customs fees?) I'm d like to try the soft washable style in my correct size still to be determined from their sizing chart and obviously different from my usual size.)

My favourite ballet flats are from the German budget shoe shop Deichmann. They are from their " premium" line "5 th Avenue" and leather. They are perfect for me. A pair lasts about one year of constant use. Hopefully they won't be discontinued! I will need a new pair soon.

I’ve just received my favourite Christmas card-from Calleija.

A card, handwritten with a lovely personal message from the manager, accompanied by their 40th Anniversary brochure (I have their 30th as well), and a box of Steph handmade cookies.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Gorgeous colour and totally fab bag altogether.

It's great you wear your new bag. I have to admit it's hard for me to wear new bags. Sometimes I don't something out for months.
