I love the boulogne so much! Sure I can list out the pros and cons so far! I've only owned the bag for almost 3 weeks but I've been using it everyday!

Pros:
1. Lightweight
2. Durable and carefree - I haven't tried this but apparently the noir version can handle snow and rain pretty well
3. Size is perfect - not too big, not too small. I usually love smaller bags but then I really have to think about the bare essentials - with this bag I don't have to think. The shape of the bag makes it easy to carry on the shoulder and also crossbody. It fits everything I need easily with lots of room without looking like a bigger bag. I still carry very little in the bag itself as if I were carrying a mini bag. I like that I don't have to worry about playing tetris with the bag and I can easily carry extra stuff that I need to like my sunnies or my husbands wallet etc. To me on my frame this feels like it's is a smaller bag too not a medium sized bag. For reference I'm 5'4: and 118 lbs.
4. Can be dressed up or down really easily! I've dressed super casually with this bag and I've gone to brunch and dinners and date night carrying this bag with a fancier outfit and it transitions super easily! It's literally replaced like 80% of the bags in my closet. No joke.
5. I think this bag would be great for travel, it has a double zip so if you wanted added security you could lock the zips if you really wanted to with either a lock, bag charm or scarf
6. STRAP! Omg the snap strap is so amazing! I love all 3 of the lengths (shoulder, mid shoulder and crossbody) and I love how it adjusts with snap closures! It keeps the strap really sleek without worrying about excess strap that you usually have to do deal with with a regular buckle strap. I think it's my favorite feature about the bag.
7. It has a sidepocket inside that can easily fit an iphone 12 pro or a card holder - I really don't need that much organization in smaller bags but having a separate place for my phone is always a plus.
8. It has a D ring on the strap where you can hang charms  I'm obsessed with that lol

Cons:
1. The dark interior might make you feel like it's a black hole, but I haven't particularly found it to be an issue but I've heard others complain about it.
2. Quality issues with the hardware or bag - I would just inspect the bag really well because generally LV's quality has kinda slipped lately. I've also read about how others have returned the bag because of some of these issues. My bag actually had a slight problem with the strap hook but they replaced the strap immediately for me so it wasn't a big deal. I would just say be careful here. But the bag itself is amazing and worth the risk imo lol. Also the pochette metis had hella production issues but that clearly didn't deter the masses in the end lol

That's all I can think of for now! Hope that helped  Feel free to ask any other questions
Also from me, thank you very much for the review! :heart:I’m currently thinking of this bag, because I need a smaller carefree (no color transfer & no rain stains) bag, which can be transitioned from day to night. Was to 95% sure to get the black epi Alma bb, but your review makes me think of Bologne once more (even though she’s a bit bigger than I initially wanted) :flowers:

Ooohhh that’s a tough choice between a black epi alma bb and the Boulogne in noir. Both are fantastic! Alma bb is more classic, feminine and elegant (due to the structure and shape) but Boulogne is much more of an everyday bag in my opinion. Plus it might depend on if you prefer gold vs silver hardware too. Boulogne chain and super awesome adjustable strap are also game changers for me and make so many of my other bags that much more user friendly. Can’t wait to see what you get!

Thank you so much hun for sharing your thoughts on both bags! :hbeat: These are very good points that you have mentioned. I’ll give it another thought and watch a couple more YT videos. Maybe I’ll just have to order both and then choose one:loveeyes: plus I have my eye on a new nano speedy in bicolor empreinte black which should be released soon.:facepalm::blush: will definitely share which one will join my collection (first)! :ghi5:

Thanks hun! So I decided to go for Boulogne :ghi5:
I’ve shared my reasons for going for her in another thread, but here’s a quick overview - the most important aspects for me were that Boulogne is:
- carefree (no rain stains, no color transfer),
- larger than Felicie but smaller than the speedy 25 to fill this gap in my collection,
- offers different strap options (shoulder and crossbody) and a dressy chain,
- sits comfy on the body,
- is versatile and perfect for the transition from day to night.

My Boulogne arrived yesterday

I’m also surprised by how spacious this bag is - here are the items I put inside (plus my iPhone 12) and there was still room left on the top for sunnies, etc.

I couldn’t wait to wear her out, so she has already been in action today:

YAY bag twins! It’s beautiful! I love your pouch set up too. I agree with all your points and I love how much it can fit despite its size! So glad you went for it! ❤️

One year on.. could I ask if you’re still loving this bag please? I can’t get it out of my head! Looks so lovely on you..
Thank you, Indiana! Yes, it has become one of my faves. It's an easy grab and go bag. It's kind of like the PA, but bigger. It has a wide opening and a zipper. It comes with a leather strap and a chain strap, so multiple ways to wear the bag. I like to wear mine with just the gold chain as a shoulder bag.

Thanks for this, Brnicutie! It’s really good to hear that the Boulogne is standing the test of time.
I’m having a hard time tossing up between that and the Celine Nano Belt, and then there’s Polène.. too many choices!

I think that you'll be happy with the Boulogne. If you plan to get it I would pick it up before the price increase happening soon. I bought mine last July for around $1800. Now it's around $2200. That's Hawaii pricing.

Hey all! Just wanted to update on the wear and tear of this bag. I’ve had it for almost exactly a year and the side of the leather has begun to come off where the D rings are.

I brought it in and was told they would only repair any problems one time, which I thought was strange, and told me I should wait to have it done. Has anyone else experienced this?

Oh sorry for that! it looks like it’s not the leather but the glazing coming off the leather where the d-rings / strap clasps rub again it.. hope you can get it fixed!
