Or indeed lilac. I don’t like croc effect (it’s actually calf leather) but the colour is so unusual and so me... it would go perfectly with some of my lilac-beige nail polishes....

Ah drat.
Is it a mini-bag? And would the hard sides make it a problem to fit everything inside?
I'm not being negative... just wondering. I only own one hard-sided mini-bag, and I find its rigid sides a bit limiting.
On the other hand, if it's just for evenings/weekends, maybe you don't have to carry much more than lipstick, keys, and a couple of CCs, so it would be okay.
The lilac color is gorgeous.

Yes, it is a mini bag. You’re not being negative at all, just practical! Thank you!

I saw it in person yesterday. It’s easier to access than I anticipated. And capacity is okay - I fitted my Chanel zippy coin purse, a powder compact, tissues, anti bac and a lipstick.

However you’re right that the rigid sides are a bit annoying.

I need to think about it some more. Probably not though.

I have no space left in my bag wardrobe without giving some away, so I need to only buy items that are absolutely perfect at this stage!

@Miss_Dawn, I know you didn't ask any advice but this thread is all about buying mindfully or shop your closet which I love and I fully agree with @ElainePG. I hate boxy bags especially worn crossbody because they will bounch back whenever I move and you might not want to get mugged by a bag...

C bug has bitten me badly  I fell in love head over the heels with this pre-loved bag on the left in the pic below. My style is classic, neutral, boring that's why this bag would fit perfectly into my existing wardrobe. In addition, I can turn the bag inward if I need to hide the logo (which is the main issue with my Whitney - being too recognizable).

Only "but" is that
1) the price is $3k (yes, after discount) and pre-loved GSTs are within $1.5k range on average
2) possible colour transfer from darker materials
3) my goal is to keep my bag count under 10 but I don't have this colour but but I do have several bags in tan colour but but but isn't it gorgeous, is it? Arrgg! Please please help. I need help. Please release your inner critics dear fellow tPFs.

Bag in question is on the left and the rest pics are taken from the internet demonstrating my wardrobe.

I honestly like it and I think it will work with you wardrobe. But the price is, yeah...high. So you must not have doubts when you get it.

I appreciate the feedback and that’s why I love this thread. I don’t need it, and while I love structured boxy shapes, I think this may be a bit too rigid even for me. I need to think more, but I’m a little over 50% now that I’m going to pass on this bag.

I think that Chanel on the left is lovely and the colour is gorgeous, but if you want us to be critical, the one thing I don’t like about it is that it looks very seasonal. With the short double shoulder straps, I’m not sure how it will age. It’s not a classic silhouette in my opinion. Good luck deciding :flowers:

I need some styling suggestions because my brain is stuck.

I want to wear my Fendi bucket but it’s pink and “feels” summery to me. But, it’s a pale neutral tone that is almost a pinkish taupe so I feel I should be able to make it work. I just can’t figure it out.

I tried it with all black (sweater, skirt, boots) and it was overwhelmed so I didn’t wear it.

Thoughts? Here is the pic of my bag and then pics of its sisters so you can get a sense of the scale. View attachment 4271361View attachment 4271362 View attachment 4271363

You've already gotten tons of suggestions but here's another vote for creamy whites. I love this bag by the way, it is adorable.

Also, can't wait to see what Mr S gets you from the jeweler's! I've been on a jewelry kick lately and am obsessed with looking at other people's jewels
Okay so I am toasting with champagne right now and wanted to spread the word. I’m done sitting in classes! At least as a masters student. I may continue and sit in courses come next autumn as a phd student, who knows, but right now in this masters program all the coursework is complete, just need to finish up the final points of my thesis, submit it, and I am done. Woot woot !!!!!!
Huge congrats!!! Well done

@dcooney4 congrats on your new wallet. It's very pretty!

I love the look, but for me the one bag that has a strap over the top of it drives me batty when I need to go in and out of it. I rarely wear it because of that reason. It may not be something that will bug .

Here is a picture.
Came back to this page to see if the wallet they showed me also had a wavy inside like the fresh one they sold me. The outside of mine is perfect the inside my cards don't fit with the little rfid covers on and once I removed the card board one side is a bit wavy with some lifting in the card slots. Though it does have a long pocket I could just put them. Trying to make it work because it is so pretty.

Thanks for your important input @msd_bags and @dcooney4 !
Good point about the chain strap on open tote because I've tried flap bags only which are a bit different. About the wallet, doesn't it take time for the leather to soften a bit? Then you should be able to get your cards fitted in.

With the short double shoulder straps, I’m not sure how it will age.
Thanks for your critical input. Well needed. What do you mean? Will short double shoulder straps wore off faster than single crossbody?

With the little covers on the cc they don't fit at all in the slots.
