I’m so glad your mom and mom #2 are doing better!
What is an H DS?
My 2 cents on the Rebelle. It’s a great bag in the python (leather isn’t that interesting). But, I’m not sure it’s an upgrade or meaningful add to your collection.
Bags that are the one that got away are iffy for me. Sometimes I buy and realize the moment for the bag is gone. I was just keeping heat going in my brain because I loved it at one time and missed it.

Amber and Gold![]()
I don’t know if this combo ever exist, but one in electric blue or Prussian blue and rose Tyrian will be very nice.
Sometimes I look at the double sen and just think ... no... you’ll never carry it enough to justify paying that much. So, I’d better just have fun with something I’m comfortable with. Victoria 2 is another temptation. One in etoupe with PHW is divine, but I don’t like that it can’t go over my shoulder. Maybe this is what I also like about MM. I can modify it a bit like strap length to fit me and if I can find the leather that I like, I’m happy. And the price, even with a heavy import tax isn’t too bad.
Going back home from a weekend getaway. MM Juliet in cobblestone Tuscania on my lap. I Love this bag. It’s so easy and relax. I’m glad I ordered it when they still have this leather.

Papertiger, I also posted the BV Pillow in the identify thread in BV. I was told it could be Byzantine. But when I checked Orchid as you said, it (Orchid) seems to be it. Then I saw an Amethyst too and thought it could be that too. Confused now, lol. [emoji3]
i think it's OrchidI got back last night from my trip. I’ve ‘declared’ my BV purchase earlier, but I also got a non-branded nylon small backpack (from Legato Largo of Japan). As I mentioned before, I seem to be developing an interest in backpacks. But I just couldn’t bring myself to buy even the nylon Marc Jacobs one I saw at the Gotemba outlets (not as nice a price as Hautelook). This is like an experiment and I just couldn’t go for a high price. Bought this for roughly $35.
Here are my Japan trip bag goodies on me at the airport.

And can I add that I found a nice Japan made pair of boots using Gore-Tex material and made with ceramic sole. I will be spending this year’s Christmas in the US and it would be right for that trip!
these bags are darn addictive!!You may already know me too well, I wear what has just come in. So today it’s still Pillow for me for church.
I'm not familiar with what the numbers on the tag mean, but I posted in the Identify Thread at BV here. Do you think it's Orchid?i think it's Orchid
does it have a colour code on the white tag?

I love Reissues and Evelynes, too. I wear mine often. I also switch it up with a Bolide, Coco Handle and Soho Disco. These styles cover my need for hand held, shoulder and crossbody bags.![]()
There was an Ambre and Gold on h.com not so long ago but it's gone now so sadly I couldn't post a link to show. I like both colours on their own (already have another Gold bag) which is a good sign. The colours together seem harmonious together and also different enough to think there is literally a 2 for 1 advantage. There is also a beautiful 'red'/Etoupe combo this season and although I have shied away from Etoupe, somehow the red warms the Etoupe from the inside and transforms it. The Magnolia (bright, bright pink) and dark blue is another cute combo for the right person so H has done really well this season in choosing combos. Some of H's duo colour choices have been quite frankly silly or really too safe (e.g. two, too close reds) for the bag IMO.
I was thinking about a Double Sens at the time of ordering my GP but went with the GP because I thought it'd be better for work. I made the right choice but there is still thefor the absolute right colour combo. Large very simple totes/hobos really speak to me as fundamentals and I like bigger H bags with less hardware, large H bags can be heavy enough without.
I had a crush on the Victoria (no shoulder possibilities) as I like it's shape, solidness and inside volume. It's fairly light (in H terms) and not too much hw, but the handles are too flat in the hand (I know that sounds stupid). Since it has flat handles there is the expectation it should go over the shoulder but it doesn't. The handles seem like afterthought. I really appreciate the work that goes into a rolled or padded handle, and I like a bag to loo great sitting on it's chair as well as being carried (and vice versa) and the handles don't stand up or fall down elegantly they 'hang around'. I also did not appreciate that Hermes did away with one of its details, it's very own luggage tag which acts like a very grown-up charm and gave the bag added character. Another cost-cutting exercise that ruined the integrity of the original design.

I have limited use for crossbodies but I really could not leave this bag in the store!![]()

You’re so right about the Victoria handles. I hadn’t thought about it this way before, but I have come close to buying a Vic on a few occasions and always stopped. I think this is part of the reason why. The flat handles would be great on the shoulder, but the drop is still not long enough, so the bag sort of sets an expectation and then doesn’t follow through. And like you, I’m very disappointed H discontinued the luggage tag — it’s a small thing, but really gave the bag some added punch.
Some people do complain about the DS being heavy — in spite of the lack of hardware, it’s still two thick layers of Clemence, and a large bag that most people will be tempted to fill up. From what I’ve seen of your style, I get why you like the DS, but I see the Re(belle) as being more “you.” Assuming, of course, that you’re choosing between the two and it’s not a case of getting both but deciding which one first!
