We talked about Memorial Day sales and I’ve started to succumb. LOL! But not for bags...just yet.

We’re traveling to see Mr. Sparkle’s family which has been fun. Along the way we went shopping and he-who-is-enabler bought me some super cute things. :yahoo:

I mentioned I’m starting a reboot on my shoe collection. @missie1 - it’s finally beginning. LOL! I got some fun, going out (comfortable!) shoes at Fendi and Alexander McQueen. I think the Fendis will be cute with jeans and a cute top. The AQ’s are great with flirty dresses. I love the pink AQ’s so much I swapped them out for what I was gonna wear last night. Even with a broken toe on my left foot and, a soon to be removed bone spur on a toe on my right foot, these were comfy enough to walk around in and wear all evening. Ha! Take that toe gods. Ya gotta love that.

The orange Fendi shoe looks super busy. I didn’t even want to try it on. But, magically it really “works” when worn. AE3E5070-1C09-431F-82B2-F99FA96CED09.jpeg
I love girly pink and, AQ’s styling gives the shoe edge so it works for my style. Plus the leather is scrumptuos and chewy. Loooooooove!

I really need some shoe basics but I’m happy to get some purely fun shoes just because.

We also got this gorgeous gown at Fendi. I looooove the chiffon pleated panels on the skirt. They quietly swish when I move. And, I don’t like pearls but somehow I love this beading. We’re going on a couple’s weekend trip with some friends in a few months and this will be perfect for one of the nights. So, yay!

Now to bags...:graucho:

Mr. S saw this adorable and super frivolous Fendi Mon Tresor and thought I should get it. It’s a teeny bit more pink than the photo and the metal reads rose gold. I have no idea when / where / how I’d wear this bag. LOL! I don’t think my collection is at the point of adding bags that serve no foreseeable purpose. So, it stayed at the store. But it’s fun!E68EA18E-450C-42C3-87F1-5FB52D7E4999.jpeg
We’re headed from Charlotte to Atlanta this afternoon which has great shoppping. I may look around a bit there. :amuse: Anybody else, doing some unexpected shopping?

Keep in mind the WOC is exactly that: a Wallet. On a chain. If you can go out with just a wallet that will also fit your phone and a lip gloss, it will work for you. I sold my WOC because it was just too small to be functional for me. I’m always shocked when people say they can fit sunglasses, keys, etc, in a WOC, because that was just not the case for me. In addition to all the above, I need to carry Kleenex, an inhaler, and hand sanitizer. That doesn’t work in a WOC. That said, I have issues with downsizing :P, so YMMV.
I’m the same way. I can’t downsize past a certain point. At minimum I have to have my card holder, sunnies, small pouch with lip balm, lotion, lip gloss, etc., tissues, keys, tiny medicine pouch, iPhone and Bluetooth ear piece. I don’t know how people manage with less on a regular basis. If I leave any of these items home, I’m inconvenienced all day.

That’s a pretty bag! That grey is a really good neutral and you could easily wear it with your work clothes!

I went to see the turquoise bag, it looks similar in color to the MCM i sold. I really like that color but I’d need it in a different style.
About turquoise bags, I know they somehow don’t have staying power in my collection. When I don’t have one (or a related color), I lust for it. But I know when it’s with me, I wouldn’t reach for it. It’s one of those nice to haves for me, but only up to that.
I’m glad I could help. :flowers: These bags are expensive so anything we can do to ensure a good purchase is a good thing.

I haven’t tried a rental service. I think those could be a good option. One good thing about Fashionphile is they offer returns as long as you keep the tag on.

I bought a Chanel WOC for my DD and she loves it. It’s much roomier than I thought it would be. I have a M/L and jumbos. The M/L does hold a bit more. For example, it can fit sunnies when the WOC can’t. Can you go to a store and put your things in the various bags to see which will work? That may help make your decision.

Keep us updated on your purchase. Can’t wait to see what you buy.
Pretty tote! Congrats!!!!

Don’t forget to spray your bag with fabric protector. Nubuck is so lush. It’s just a little scary. LOL!

And welcome to the Proenza Schouler family. This is your first PS, right?
That is a pretty bag. But, that color in nubuck would scare me too.
Yes my first PS! I’ve lusted for the Keep All for a long time, but never pulled the trigger. I only did for this because I was able to try the bag in person. Are nubuck bags susceptible to rubbing? If one side hugs and rubs against my body, should I worry?

Btw, those are lovely shoes!! I’m glad you can still wear heels.

I think I’m finally at purse peace and it’s such a weird feeling!! Usually I’m always looking at bags and have a few on my wish list that I occasionally dream about, but lately bags haven’t been stirring up any desire in me whatsoever. Clothes, shoes, and jewelry yes, but not really any bags. I became briefly interested in the YSL sunset woc a few weeks ago after seeing this picture of it online, but I instantly forgot about it.

When I was out shopping yesterday I saw it on display in different colors and decided to check it out— I was horrified. The leather was so stiff and felt kind of cheap; I didn’t even bother trying it on. A bit disappointing because I otherwise like how the bag looks, but it’s probably for the best since I think I have enough bags for now :P

Thanks for the compliment on the shoes! I’m surprised I can wear heels now. But I’m good. No pain. No pain meds. <knock on wood> I have toe surgery on the 13th and will be in flats for 6 weeks. Good excuse to update my flat wardrobe since I only own two pair and they aren’t great.

Your bag looks so yummy. I don’t know if nubuck rubs. I would only think it would if there is constant use and rubbing. I know pony hair does but nubuck doesn’t have individual hair that can come out.

Wow! Your new shoes are fierce! I have no high heels game. Can’t wear them at all. And with all the sprain ankles last year, I don’t think I’ll get back on high heels again. Now, I only have one pair in silver left for events and that’s it.
You must look fab in them! [emoji1360][emoji1360]

And I love the dress. [emoji4]

The bag is cute and it’s even cuter when DH is the one pointing it out. You’re strong not to get it. If I were you, I’ll likely cave. [emoji16]

and I’m super impressed. The dress is beautiful and very elegant. Can’t wait to see what you get in Atlanta

Bag C has arrived!! Just as I hoped and expected it got to me Friday. I put the order Monday morning. [emoji3] I wouldn’t have given this a chance had I not tried the non-nubuck version IRL. I like the simplicity of this tote.

First time for me to own a nubuck bag, gosh, it’s so soft!! And I love that it hugs me well! And I love this color called Heather Grey. [emoji173]️ And it weighs 1.9lbs on my luggage scale which is on the light side for me.

So here is my Proenza Schouler Medium Tote! [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

It’s nothing fancy as the Altuzarra bag, but I’m happy with this!! Bag A was the non-nubuck version of this. There were several colors at heavily discounted price: turquoise, coral, orange, blush and brown. I was leaning towards blush. But what I needed really was grey, so I went for this. If there was fuchsia I would have gone for that.
Congrats! it's really a very good choice!
Beautiful and safe, yet versatile and roomy!
Enjoy in good health!
