July Count:

Bags In: 4 (though one has not shipped or been charged yet, so I debated whether this is more appropriate for the August count. Oh well, in my mind I bought in July). One was for my birthday using some birthday money: a small red bag as I have been missing having a vibrant red bag in my collection. The other was something I had been trying to talk mysef out of buying for a while but ultimately I had a weak moment, and it will replace a couple other bags. One was a Longchamp LP shopping tote I scored for 40% off - my first LC  and the last one the Vince Camuto leather tote I got on clearance for $55 CAD! :happydance:

Bags Out: None. But 2 are going to bag purgatory as soon as I get home from vacation so might show up in August!

With this last purchase, I think I really am done-done with collecting any more bags for a while, except for maybe another Longchamp Le Pliage - I would like a "small tote" version. Aside from that, I *may* even be able to hold out for two years until a milestone birthday even though I have an idea what bag I want "next". Not sure I can hold out for two years, but it could be a test for myself too...if I still want that bag in two years, then I must truly want it!

My goal is to keep my bags under 20. I am at 19 including my Longchamp Le Pliage and the two going to purgatory. I find I don't like being so close to 20 so I will feel good when I drop down a couple!

Amending my number for July to 3 in as I have sent the little red bag back (it was waiting for me at my office when I went back to work today, and I went to the post office at lunch to return it!). I did not really hold onto it long enough to count it as an in AND out; it shall be the bag that never existed in my collection. It was cute and a great colour, but did not spark joy.:amuse:

Here is a photo of it anyway next to my Chalk Rogue 25 (which does spark joy).

I appreciate that you took a photo anyway. All the photos showing bags in real settings (and what is realer than an office) are so interesting. Sounds like you weren't too disappointed by the miss. Cheers for that!

Hi there again, before I post my Longchamp bags, I just want to say that I have enjoyed seeing all the site specific LCs… Statue of Liberty, Big Ben, Eiffel Tower, and the birdie. I never really "got" the charm before and now I think they're just adorable!

My LC bags in leather; the gray LeFoulonne tote on the left is the most used bag among all my bags.

Since weight is the same I guess they might have used different parts of the leather? Maybe full grain on your last year bag and for this year, top grain ?

Oh, that's a great observation. I should really learn about leathers to understand my bags. Thanks!

For some reason, most of LC models just don't work for me. Their tote from autumn collection is lovely but doesn't work either. Inner side is metallic which will get scratched too easily.

I have only two LC thought I love the lightweightness; a WOC and this from Heritage collection:

The pic taken by me is not so great because it's almost night here.Leather feels gorgeous.

Here's a better one from the internet:

Love the Heritage Roseau! I wanted one before but it never went on sale at the price level I wanted. Nice bag!

Thanks westvillage for your appreciation of my collection. You have a wonderful one too and I totally want your Foulonne grey. But I don't think it is still available so I will have to stalk second hand markets if I do decide to get one (trying to be good here!).

I think the Sakura line is really gorgeous!! But when I saw and touched the one like yours in the boutique, I was scared about dirtying it. Looked so fragile because of the material and color! But really looks great!!

I weighed my 2 Padlock bags last night and it turned out they are the same weight. 2 lbs without any long strap, and about 2.4lbs with the default long straps. So I guess I'm not complaining as to weight.

Here are some more bling pics. [emoji3]

wow, that's a great deal on your VC tote! And I'm amazed at the number in your collection - I hope one day when I'm done curating mine, i'll get to 20 also. But that may be many years down the road haha.

I'm carrying my Fendi By The Way bag. Carried it last week, and I love it so much I'm not going to switch. :p

LOVE THIS

I think D&B and KS were done already.

How about Goyard, Gucci, and Longchamp?
i've only got Gucci to contribute =)

Hi! So nice to hear from you! I still check in on this thread but I feel like I'm so far behind that it's hard to catch up. It's one of my favorites, though--love the people and conversations in this group. My collection has been reduced after a few cycles of purchasing the wrong things/selling them, repeat, and I think I'm better about this now (not perfect). My favorite bags are my Longchamp, Proenza Schouler PS1, and Mansur Gabriel bucket bag. I sold many of my other bags, and while I'm sure I still have more than the average woman (who probably has no idea this forum even exists!), it's pretty scaled down for me. I have also had a thing for backpacks for a few years now--so practical when traveling and running around for the day, so my Rebecca Minkoff Julian and my Tory Burch leather backpack are two regulars in the rotation. I'm also moving toward smaller bags and hands free bags.

How about you? What are you go to bags these days? Any brand that you have returned to, left, etc?
I'm not really getting obsessed or attracted to every bag I see, like I used to. I think it's 'cuz I've gotten to a point where I have so many, that there really is no reason for me to keep getting them. I have, however, identified two bags that I will likely get next year, assuming I really do scale back in numbers. They will be staple, every day bags and ideally should replace a lot of the bags I currently use for work and also to throw around. Bags of choice are the Speedy 35 b, and I will probably add a preloved 40 or a keepall for travel to replace my Bleeker, which I love, but is kinda heavy. Other than those, no major plans to keep adding.

And so, I got another Miss Dior Sliding chain!!
This one in bright yellow lambskin with soft gold hardware! :hbeat:

I love these bags because they are super functional. They are really roomy without looking too big when I wear them. And the sliding chain let's me wear it crossbody or shoulder. I love these bags!! But now I gotta stop. No more MD SC's! LOL!
Gorgeous! Love the colors you own for this bag. Enjoy it!

I'll show my weekly brands later but I do want to show my bag for today, my Longchamp Sakura tote. It's pretty and easy to wear although it's not really neutral so the color has to be worked with the outfit of the day. Today it's a lot of white for me… hot here right now. I love when white feels like the right thing (not so often, imho).

the Chalk is beautiful =)

I don't have Goyard or LC, but here are some of my Gucci - Gucci is my first and most loved premier brand =) <3 Sorry these are older photos and kind of all over the place. I took them from my blog or else I won't have time to take pictures. I'm missing my black patent Boston and my SLGs but hopefully I'll have some time on the weekend.
