Thank you so much to everyone for your sweet messages, My mother's not allowed flowers atm so here they are for you.

Washed my McQueen today ready to cary on Friday eve and Sat (I don't have a machine dryer so fingers crossed it'll be dry).

Another small bag of stuff for charity today. Just some old, never worn gym stuff ('what was I thinking?' and some 'why don't they make workout clothes comfortable?' stuff). Plus, a wool military mini skirt that I've had a terrible time letting go, it's so old it's bound to come into fashion very soon but it's odd wearing a very warm but very short skirt. Anyway, it's gone.

The birdcage Longchamp, I used it and it had gotten dirty. The Dooney bucket bag left too, it was too big and cavernous. If I want a bucket bag, it has to be smaller so my stuff doesn't float around in it.
I hate when things get dirty too. At least now you know big buckets don't work for you and you didn't have to pay a high price to find out so definitely a win win.

It was. And I did enjoy using it enough. I got both to under my $10 CPW.

And it looks like LV is coming out with a new ZCP, so I might be getting a new wallet sooner than later.

I'm wondering if the smaller silk-in wallet from Hermes would be a "better" choice.

Which McQueen did you wash PT? Did I miss a picture? And I'm curious, w/o a machine dryer, do you hang all your items or have something like a drying closet?

And no, I don't have any washable bags. Hmmm...I wonder if I need one? I think I'd prefer a bag that is waterproof so that I can wipe off.

I have 5 boxes of clothes that I need to take to consignment. I just can't find one here that doesn't require me to iron everything and put them on hangers. I've never heard of this. I'm used to taking clean items in a box or hamper. It's amazing how little things are so different between cities. I am not at all a fan of my new city so far. :nogood:

I'm going to a bonfire party tomorrow night. The bonfires will be a 1/2 mile hike from my friends house and we'll be sitting in outdoors on chairs, on logs etc.

I need a carefree bag that can hold my normal items (wallet, small accessories pouch, etc plus a flashlight, gloves, etc.) But, I sold my carefree bag that would have worked for this and just put it in the mail yesterday. :amazed: As I mentioned, I plan to buy a replacement. I just don't have it now.

So I have no idea what I'm going to take. :confused1: I have zero in my closet that will work. And I don't want to run out and buy something tomorrow. My impulse bag buys are always mistakes.

Do you have any canvas totes ?

With the wallets I have no clue. I am not familiar with the Hermes wallet. I love my Lv ones and they are in the keep group.

Iron and put them on hangers? OMG! :wtf: Around here they'd have nothing to sell. All our local goodwill/charity stores/shops leave huge plastic bags and we fill them up and call to collect, furniture too. If it's just a small bag I'll carry it myself to save the charity money.

Here's my McQueen/V&A. I bought it at Savage (saw the exhibition 6 times - only once did all the FX work but it was always amazing) There was a waiting list for these canvas bags!!!. I have lots of McQueen (pre Sarah Burton) clothes but no actual bags except this, the only 'real' AMQ bags I've been tempted by was the Novak when they first came out (tweed and olive leather ) and the large De Manta in a print I wouldn't be able to resist. So far I've able to resist.

I can't count how many times I've used this bag as an extra or just instead of. It's just canvas but I was worried about the design coming off in the wash but it's fine (put it inside-out and in a pillow case). I just leave it hanging outside, nature's own wind machine. Actually I don't have a dryer since 2 different friends have had fires started by them :-s I am very 'heather and safety'

I only have a Dogon and another (I can't remember the name of but it's huge) but the silk-in is absolutely H and very special, from all reports surprising hardy.

Do you have an LP? Nylon shopper or dare I say it Envirosax? What do you put your 'proper' bags in when it pours?

This is why I need my carefree bags, park, bonfires, going on a boat in the middle of salty ocean.

Nope. :-s I sold off a lot of bags that could have been classified carefree because I wasn't crazy about them. And, I started my overhaul with my premier bags and I'm pretty much done with that (I'll probably add a bag a year to keep it fresh)

So I planned this year to get my carefree bags - a black bag, a colorful fun bag, a beach / festival tote, etc. I just haven't spent the time on it yet. Aaaaarggh! :annoyed:

I hadn't heard of Kipling and had to google it. Some of these are super cute! Thanks! I'll look into them. I actually like the one that is a diaper bag. LOL!!!!

I love this!! And it's washable! I would have thought the design would come off.

I like a lot of AMQ bags. I've often considered the Padlock Satchel. It's still on my radar.

And re: the consignment shops. I don't know what they're thinking. :blah: I don't have tons of hangers to give them!!!! And I rarely iron my clothes. I hate ironing!!! I hang them right after washing or they're dry cleaned. If something has a little wrinkle I hang it in my smallest bathroom, turn the shower on hot, close the door and let the steam take the wrinkles out. LOL!

This is the only bag I have that could work. It's a fake leather tote that I haven't gotten around to giving away because I think it's cute. I thought maybe I could use it for carefree situations - outdoor festivals, farmers markets, etc. - but hadn't decided. It's a little bigger than I want for this. I'd prefer a medium sized crossbody or a small backpack. But, perhaps I can just test it out and make do??? I refuse to make an impulse purchase. (I think I'll take the tassels off.)

The hosts said wear something you would wear camping. Er, I don't camp. LOL!

I'm really having remorse about selling these latest 2 carefree bags. :crybaby:I don't want them in specific because I know I can find better styles. And, they were a little worn from years of use.

It's just that usually I buy the "replacement" bag(s) then sell. So, I never get seller's remorse. This is the first time I'm selling before buying. So, I feel the gap in my collection. Especially with me needing something tomorrow.

Yes, exactly this. I have to have carefree bags. The struggle is finding ones I love and am willing to let get grungy.

I don't have any nylon bags. It's funny, I was just googling options last week. I don't like Longchamps at all so that's not an option. From a quick google images search, I liked some of the Kipling bags Kisuromax suggested. I also like Prada nylon. I had 2 of those but sold them because they weren't the right sizes / styles. I may look to get one of those again.

When it's rainy / snowy, I wear my patent, caviar or saffiano leather bags. So, I've never needed to do the bag in a bag. I didn't even know that was a "thing" til TPF.

I air dry my clothes and hang shirts and hoodies on hangers, silks are rolled in a towel, cashmere and knitwear dried flat on a mesh airer. When I go to shoots and I see the steamers then I see the point. I wouldn't mind a professional steamer.

Wear the fake-leather, great idea no need for impulse buys  and a good test for it.
