2015 resolution - shopping from my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

thanks, Amor! Oddly, this year wasn't so hard as previous years. I think it's because the bags I have now really fulfill my actual needs and purposes vs, just being pretty things to look at.

I think the space goal is a great way to gage something. I look in my closet and A LOT of the space is taken up by bags and I'd love to lighten the load up and free up some more closet space so that I have only one dedicated closet for all my clothing and accessories - definitely a long term goal


thanks, vink! I think you did really well! it took my YEARS to get to this point and last year I thought it was going to happen but halfway through the year, I bought 11 bags lol. I think even if you went over your goal, the addition seems like it was a great purchase for you and it's awesome it works so well!

Awesome on the no purchase months! Oh I think i forgot to mention that I was going to try to use all my wallets throughout the year - that was a fail because my husband has been away and I have been heavily using the wallet he gave me because I miss him, and before he left again, he bought me a new one to replace the other one he got 'cuz it was getting old, so I've used the new one for quite some time before rotating. I think I have 3-4 wallets I still need to use.

I think that you did the right thing in using one wallet for sentimental reasons.

I need to be better in sticking to my collection next year.

I am very happy! I keep looking at it.

The back makes the bag handy. I can keep my wallet secure, and my phone and keys accessible in the back pocket. Though, the Herbag's closure doesn't keep me from undoing the complicated set up to get my wallet if absolutely needed.

eggtart that is amazing! I was thinking about starting a thread in Wardrobe for the New Year bc my goal for 2016 is not to buy anything. Clothes included. I was supposed to start on my birthday (Sept) but then bought a Goyard St Louis when I was in SF last month & this month the "need" for a New Years dress sent me on a minor dressapalooza 🙈

Got rid of a travel bag today . I love when things go as much as when they come.

AWESOME! I've also listed a few things in craiglist and hoping they will go.

I definitely will share. [emoji4] I'm buying the laminator inserts to make the sheets stiff, work has the actual machine I can use. I also need the hole punch for our corresponding planner sizes which is on Filofax.

Besides that, I have all my scrapbook supplies to use towards this project!

I found this article and think it's interesting. Although I know I won't toss out all my tote bags soon, I find with me downsizing my bag, it's kind of funny. What do you think about this?

Mini bags are on trend really as I observe around, but I don't think they are around because they are cheaper. I get shocked with the prices of some minis, and even more the micros!

This is so pretty. I am so tempted by the MAM's. They had some yesterday at Saks off fifth. It took all myself control to put it back. The bag is to heavy for me so I will have to just enjoy yours and Eehlers when you bring them out.

I bought a document holder at the Longchamp sale, I bring work home during the weekend, and depending on the bag, it's kinda hard to. I am now that lady with 3 bags [emoji85]: purse, lunch bag, document bag. The document holder fits my MacBook and lab notebooks!

Not sure if I'll count it as a handbag as it isn't to be a purse. I'll see.

And my Thomas Bears came in! DBF ordered them for me and they arrived in store today.





I also bought a Ferragamo belt. Man these sales just get me. But I also will not need a belt anymore!

Not a lot of occasions like these but maybe my MJ mini 1984 and now my recently purchased Massaccesi Midi Soulmate.

What do you think is your best bag purchase for 2015?

For me this is my Christian Dior Maris Pearl. It is such a classic vintage piece that I got for a very low price at like new condition. So it's the best (among all other nice purchases) because it offers the most value for money.

Maybe my MG Mini Backpack. I can go hands-free with it and the Rosa colour goes well with anything. I get a lot of compliments on it too. Last night I just bought a Saint Laurent Classic Nano Sac De Jour which I haven't used yet. Maybe it could be my best purchase of the year...who knows? [emoji6]

I would say the best purchases were a toss up between the Marc by Marc Jacobs shifty and the mz wallace Paige in clove. Both were a great price and worn quite often. I love my new julian backpack and my new Mz Wallace Kara bags, but I haven't had enough time to use them a lot yet. Once I do my answer may change.
