2015 resolution - shopping from my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

Assignments answers:

1. Honestly for someone who loves bags, I never thought of the features that I need in detail. Just in general for eg has to be relatively light, leather or good quality coated canvas, classic design, shoulder/cross body carry.
Maybe that is already detailed?[emoji1]

2. More bags since joining but that's due to my almost complete overhaul of my wardrobe. More patience and am more discerning.

3. As the year reaches the end, I am actually itching to get another pair of shoes and a bag from my wish list. Realistically though, can get only one though[emoji29]

Good thing is the seller immediately refunded me. I believe she didn't know either.
The bad news is that I don't think I will ever find one in that great condition at that price[emoji25][emoji29]
So after much thinking and discussing with my sister and DH, tweaked my list and am now happy with how things turned out.
Sure it sucked big time that the bag was a bust but it was probably for the best as DA occasionally turns yellowish after some time and I intend to use the bag for years to come.
I also found another cross body to fill the niche left by the Speedy B.
It came yesterday and I [emoji173]️ it!!



Another thing I discovered is that I absolutely love the Speedy B. So I will definitely be purchasing one but in another print and this time, most likely new as to avoid another disappointment.

Zippy NM. The new model is an accordian zip wallet, rather than one that opened flat.
It hasn't come in DE for the NM.

And like a few of the newbies here, I went a little bag crazy after joining TPF. I am just recovering after a massive bag shopping craze that lasted around 3 months and drained all my shopping funds... So I guess I'm on a bag ban! Yay!

I also forget where I put stuff in my MZ Wallace Paige. There are lots of pockets. I don't normally use all the pockets of my regular sized bags because I use all those pouches. But when I need to downsize for my Paige, that's when trouble begins.


I love the Town too. If you are into mini bags then save up for it. A friend of mine dissuaded me from getting the Town before. She said why not go for the Velo instead since the Town doesn't hold much and prices don't vary much. I did go for the Velo! Since I already have the Velo, if I'm gonna get a Bal mini bag now it will be the small bowler bag for a different shape.

That's my problem, I tend to utilize all the pockets in a bag hehe.

I love your Velo! It's a perfect travel bag. I will definitely save up for the Town. I think it will be my 2016 ultimate bag purchase. Anyway, can't wait to get my RM Mini Cupid soon!

I love your new Longchamp. Sorry to hear about the fake LV . I was always afraid of that happening so I just save and save till I can buy from LV directly. This way I know it is not fake. I know I am probably the minority here with this idea but it is something to think about.

No, that's why I can't buy pre-loved either. I also can't buy items through places with poor return policy, like TJ Maxx. At least the Rack does check for fake returns. But yeah, that's why I save and buy at the boutique. That's also why I go through extreme planning to get bags during my vacations because it's a little cheaper there.

I love your new Longchamp. Sorry to hear about the fake LV . I was always afraid of that happening so I just save and save till I can buy from LV directly. This way I know it is not fake. I know I am probably the minority here with this idea but it is something to think about.

You are right about being sure when buying directly. I just can't swallow our prices here in Asia especially since the preloved market is chock full of great items at even better prices!
We'll see how it goes.

Oh no, that's awful! I'm so sorry to hear that. That's why I can't bring myself to buy anything from the second hand market. Not knowing if something is fake/genuine would drive me crazy. But I'm glad you turned a bad experience into something positive. Your new Longchamp is absolutely stunning! Love that shade of blue!

I'm exactly the same way! It's either the official boutiques or department stores like Neiman Marcus. And I always try to plan my purchases around my trips overseas (duty free )

I'd love the bamboo-indigo one, or the black and light blue. I'm essentially aiming for the two color ones, almost any combo except the fushia-hibiscus, as I feel it's too close to the brightness of my Evelyne. Blue-green tones are preferred, or black + color. New colors are coming out for LV, not sure if the capucines will be included.

(Can you see why I'm antsy now? I have items in mind that I want to hunt down! Plus, I am sooo in need of a break away from a computer.)

DE Speedy B is awesome, took the strap awhile to break in for me though. Still love that bag. Hope you find an awesome deal on an authentic one, or have a fab time at the boutique.

Aawww, so sorry about what happened. But glad that you were refunded. True, our brand new prices here in Asia are unbelievably high and since we've got lots of less expensive authentic pre-loved markets to buy from (I prefer buying from Japanese resellers), we really can't help but buy from them. I've never been burned before though that's why I'd still buy pre-loved. If maybe in the future you'd want to buy pre-loved, you can have the bag authenticated here first before buying (but I think that's only good if the item is from an auction/website). Anyway, that's a lesson learned and cheers to your gorgeous Longchamp! Enjoy it in good health!

Oh bummer about the fake LV! But your replacement for it looks leather yummy! Nice color too! A sister of mine has DA bags and they do turn yellowish over time. Could be our humidity here.

I also can't take the high prices here! I had somebody buy my LV bag in France and I saved almost 30% compared to the price here! Crazy taxes!

I like looking at the Japan reseller prices too as there are a lot of nice bags at very good prices. And the bags are likely authentic (read in the Bal forum of a fake though). But when they do come through our customs, poof, good price is gone!! That's why I'd like to go back there in the flesh.
