I also can't take the high prices here! I had somebody buy my LV bag in France and I saved almost 30% compared to the price here! Crazy taxes!

Would like to see!! :graucho:

I like looking at the Japan reseller prices too as there are a lot of nice bags at very good prices. And the bags are likely authentic (read in the Bal forum of a fake though). But when they do come through our customs, poof, good price is gone!! That's why I'd like to go back there in the flesh. :graucho:

Here's my kind of "Town" (courtesy of Yoogi's Closet) :graucho:
01. $940 Anthracite Lambskin Leather Giant 12 RGHW (Yoogi's Closet) pic#2.JPG

I like the size of it and the non-tasseled pulls.
I'll save up for this one :tender: (and hopefully it'll coincide with my target weight :sweatdrop:) I'm not that motivated these past few months to shed the pounds. I don't know why :nogood: I know, lame excuse...

Oh no, that's awful! I'm so sorry to hear that. That's why I can't bring myself to buy anything from the second hand market. Not knowing if something is fake/genuine would drive me crazy. But I'm glad you turned a bad experience into something positive. Your new Longchamp is absolutely stunning! Love that shade of blue!

I'm exactly the same way! It's either the official boutiques or department stores like Neiman Marcus. And I always try to plan my purchases around my trips overseas (duty free )

Duty Free is awesome. haha.

Oh bummer about the fake LV! But your replacement for it looks leather yummy! Nice color too! A sister of mine has DA bags and they do turn yellowish over time. Could be our humidity here.

I'm not sure we have Sherlock here. Will try to check as you've made me curious. :D

If you have Sherlock, you have to watch it!

And if my calculations are right, I'd save 25% buying my Capucines in London, 35% if I can find it in LHR Duty Free. If I find my H Herbag, it's 21% cheaper in London.

Ahhh. So antsy. I can't wait for my trip.

Ohh!! It's almost Christmas time (though for everyone outside the US, it pretty much is Christmas, right?) Let's share our Christmas trees again! I have a bunch of ornaments I bought from my trip last year that I totally want to share, on top of the ones I made from the designer boxes!

Designer goods prices are just so much better in Europe! Plus the vacation itself, the beautiful places, it's just so awesome! Don't forget to "take us with you" when you get there :D

I've just browsed LV French website and OMG, the zippy compact NM there is only €390!!! Is that also their price at the boutiques (let's say in Paris)? That's a huge savings rather than if I buy here in Manila. DH has a port call in Le Havre, France this December. That port is only 2 hours away from Paris (if I remember correctly the chief engineer telling me that before). Unfortunately, I can't join him onboard this time (as opposed to what we planned before) due to some unexpected situation in our home, but I can totally forego visiting the store here myself for such a huge savings! But then again, the NM is only available in Mono. Will have to think a million times about this.

And yes, it's beginning to feel like Christmas here in our country. I think many know that we celebrate Christmas rather super early than any nation in the world, lol! Here's our tree [emoji319], which was already set up since last week of October. My auntie from Dubai (who's staying with us til January) was the eager beaver and she set it up even before All Saint's Day! But my kids and my 2 year old nephew were so happy about it! [emoji1] And no gifts yet under the tree as those 3 little rascals will open them up right after I place them there for sure! [emoji320][emoji320][emoji320]

I'm excited to see everyone else's Christmas trees!!! :D

Yes, that's the boutique price, and if you can get the VAT refund, it's even less than that!

I love traveling. Food, sights to see, no need to do my laundry or clean my room, and of course, the shopping! lol
I'll definitely be updating you guys on my trip, especially in my search. I'll try to post more photos this time of London as well as my bags. :D

I like small things in monogram. But it should be out in DE next year? I'm not sure, I forget what the people were reporting from the lookbook.

And your tree is gorgeous!! Do you have one of those giant stars that light up? I forget what they are called but everyone has them in the windows. I've been wanting to get one, but it's expensive and delicate.

Yes, the NM will come out in DE next year so that's really bothering me. I just got overly excited because of the price. If you buy the NM here in Manila today, it costs almost 530 euros! I called up the store 3 days ago. Can you imagine that? It's crazy!

Thanks for the Christmas tree love :smile1: We do have the same ornaments since we moved in this house 8 years ago but I never get tired of the look.

And oh, you must be talking about the "parol" :) We have one (the modern one made of capiz shells and with lights) placed high up in front of our garage but the lights are busted (need to replace the lights or just buy a new one).

We have traditional parols like so:
traditional parols.jpg

And the modern ones:
modern parols.jpg

The modern ones are quite pricey depending on the size, materials and on how intricate the details are. Ours is just a small one and I think we bought it for less than USD50. But we bought it in Pampanga, the province where most of these originate. Maybe that's the reason it's cheaper than Manila prices. I do hope when you get to spend vacation here, you can buy even a small one because they're really pretty, so Christmas-y! :rockettes:

Yes! Those are the ones! They're like $100 and up for the smaller, modern ones, the last time I checked. They're so pretty. Not sure when I'd be able to be in the Philippines again, so I might ask a relative to get me one next time I see them. haha.

ETA: If you really want DE I'd wait on getting the wallet. Buying it almost anywhere in Europe would probably yield the same savings.

Totally ask your relative to buy one for you! It's such a cheery sight when you light it up :D

And thanks for the advice, Bake! :smile1: I guess I can wait. If ever there'll be a price increase in Europe in 2016, the price won't come close to our absurd price here. But then again, the Mono is so lovely on SLGs! Haha! I'm so torn! BUT if the DE comes with the red interior, then I WILL WAIT. I think no one has shared pics of the DE yet from the look book. Can't wait!

Did I share my bag of the week yet?

Sorry if I repeat this picture here lol.

Carrying my Bally Bernina tote. It's massive. It fits my coat when it gets hot in the afternoon so it's working out for me. I may carry it more this month and not wear my Speedy B which would be difficult with my coat.

I really like this bag.

Thanks!

ETA: I'll be carrying this bag with me in London as not only my personal item on the plane, and as my purse while walking around. What I've learned from my past two trips is that DBF buys many things and needs me to carry things too. From water bottles to books to snacks. So I think I'll carry this bag around the city with me, cinched up of course to discourage sticky fingers. I've already warned him, he'd have to carry the tote too when I get tired. He doesn't care since he prefers the Bally tote over the pink heart covered Coach reuseable tote I had on me last time. haha

But I feel like the tote would be much easier to carry than a bunch of small shopping bags from our trips/shopping.

I will be wearing my LV PF/WOC for my wallet and phone, and have that under my coat.

Think that would be secure enough? I'm like fretting over silly things, I guess.

I'm feeling amused this morning. Been talking to a friend about a thread I posted a few years back on a financial forum about when it's OK to buy a $200 purse. Now I'm thinking if only I was spending just $200 on a purse!
