View attachment 3324006This is the mineral color. The leather is the true original Coach leather. When I open the flap, I expect to feel the back of the leather -- not the delicious lambskin, which lines it.

I know exactly what you mean. I, too, have been wanting lately to step away from the Premier line. I won't mention names, but the initials are Louis Vuitton! lol. Seriously, I totally get what you are saying. Coach was my first love and I have quite a few bags that are vintage now. They are pristine and I have started to think about carrying them again. I always bought the classic styles, so to me, they seem ageless. I have a few Legacy pieces, one being the "Allie" and a few others. The leather is divine! I still carry my LV's on the weekends, I have a not so small fortune invested in them, but, I really think I want to dip back into, like you, my first love, Coach. I love your new bag, it's such a classic style. I miss the older, classic styles,. Coach leather was always top of the line and the Legacy pieces reflected that. I haven't been shopping Coach, so I don't know if there are any styles that are calling my name, but I intend to find out! I truly think my next purse will be a Coach.

Chanticleer, thank you for posting. I grew my Coach collection in the 80s and early 90s, LOL. Then, their designs got a little like Dooney and Bourke. I might be able to find a rarish bag that I still have.
But, I digress.
I took the bag into the Coach boutique Saturday and the SAs were so surprised to see that bag. They never carried it. There is very good news, though. The bags are all 25% off. But, you probably received the coupon in your email for 30% off. I was amazed. The SA thought the inside of my bag was goat, but I thought not. I own a few goat bags, and the leather still feels like lamb, or nappa. I'm going with lamb. Coach has a goat bag, much to my glee, but, there was a slight sheen, no noticeable pores or spine. I'm not sure what part of the goat they are using, but for the price of the large tote, very pretty. I did a search on Coach.com for goat and got a mercer tote. The larger own is what I saw.
