I tried to get the black small and I was told it was sold out! I did end up buying the houndstooth. I love this bag and hope everyone who bought one is enjoying it

I’m glad you were able to get your hands on the houndstooth bag. That is a gorgeous bag! Post pics please :) I was able to get the small black and have definitely enjoyed carrying it!

I just bought the Trendy CC after trying to decide between the Trendy and the classic flap in M/L. My SA brought this out in black but because it wasn’t one of the contenders, I dismissed it. I’m now wondering if I should exchange my Trendy for this as I can’t stop thinking about it. Any thoughts?

What else do you have in your collection? May help you decided on whether to keep Trendy CC or get the 19 flap. Which fits better with your lifestyle and dress style? Or maybe it’s time to get something that stretches you outside your comfort zone and isn’t like anything you have. Makes that particular piece unique to your collection.

Sometimes certain bags just stick with you and you can’t get it off your mind. That’s how I know I really love something is when I can’t stop thinking about it :)

I’ve bought and sold a few classic flaps over the years but not because of the style, it was because the hardware or leather wasn’t right. At the moment I only have a Boy bag in black with the ruthenium hardware and a WOC in black caviar with silver hardware. My style is fairly edgy but I wear neutral colours and classic pieces (if that’s not a contradiction!), nothing too outlandish. I went for the Trendy CC because I wanted something that was timeless but still had a bit of an edge. I do feel I still need the classic flap in my collection but now I’m confused because I like the 19 also! Just concerned it’s a bit of an It bag. I also forgot to add that I have a 3 year old so I need something practical that can be worn crossbody. I really love the Trendy I have bought but not sure now if it’s practical for my lifestyle with it being lambskin.

I have checked with my local boutique, Saks and NM and was told the black in small is sold out. However, a SA at NM said they are planning to launch this bag as a classic and Chanel will be heavily marketing it. So, I don’t know if that helps with your decision. It looks like it will be around for awhile but who knows..In my opinion, this bag is more edgy than the trendy but both are beautiful bags! I like that the 19 can be hand held or crossbody but the trendy has a beautiful luxe look. With chanel you really can’t make a wrong choice. Good luck with your decision

Thank you. Yes, my SA also told me it is set to become part of the classic collection. I just can’t decide if it’s something I would tire of easily as I do like to have classic pieces if I'm spending so much money and it just does not scream classic to me. However, I do think it has a vintage vibe about it. My SA told me the Gabrielle was set to be a popular bag when it first came out and perhaps it is in some countries/cities, but where I live, I never see anyone with it. I still want the classic flap in M/L having bought and sold several versions of it due to the wrong leather and hardware colour but I can’t afford to have all three (Trendy as well)! It’s a tough decision. I think I need to see more modelling pics of the 19 first.

Definitely go with what your heart tells you and pick something that you’ll see yourself reaching for tomorrow and 3 years from now. I love the bag because it’s edgy and very different from other handbags I have in my collection. If you already have a ruthenium boy bag then that could satisfy that edgy bag you can wear with casual clothing or add some edge to dressier outfit. I think the boy is very versatile. Then you wouldn’t need the 19 flap. I am happy to hear it will become part of the permanent collection. I posted a pic of me wearing it recently if you want to see it worn shoulder carry with jeans.

Yes, what you said makes sense - I do have the Boy Bag which would satisfy the need for an edgier bag. Is your photo in this thread?
