I think maybe it's because you had the beige one sitting closer to your neck, therefore appearing longer and the black is sitting more on your shoulder. LOVE the small black on you. Happy it worked out and you didn't have to wait long.

I fell in love with grey have just bought in medium as there was no grey in small. Only the red, navy and Tiffany blue. But now second guessing myself on the medium size[emoji849]
With the chains being different sizes I want to ask your preferred way to wear this bag. Cross body (small size) or shoulder carry (medium)

Hi! Congratulations on your Grey one. My preferred way is crossbody because I have very narrow shoulders so the straps don’t stay on. The few bags that I do carry over the shoulders have very short straps so it can be tucked under my armpits.
On a side note, I always knew I wanted the Small in Black but that size and color is the hardest to get. So after waiting for two weeks I got impatient and ordered Small Beige and Medium Black. While both were stunning I knew deep in my heart it still wasn’t THE one. Now that I got the one I truly wanted I am at peace. I guess my point is wait for the one your heart truly desires or you will always second guess yourself. At least that’s my experience anyway.

Not crazy if you love the bag! A lot of people do that with the classics (classic flaps and reissues), so this isn't any different
Not crazy at all! I am waiting for the medium black. And I’m already thinking that I’d love to have a small too – maybe in a pop of color. It’s an AMAZING bag in every size and color!
dear all, the manager told me they can either send for repair or get store credit, there is no other 19 bag available at this time. So I took the store credit. Too sad...

And so...my bag fell from a height of 2.5 feet. I placed it near the corner of a cabinet and it keeled over from the weight of the chain...dived headfirst on to the tiled floor. Now, there's a small dent on the corner of the turnlock. Im sad...but oh well...twas my fault really. [emoji16] 
Oh no! Can you polish it a little? I think it adds character. A bag well loved and worn is better than one sitting in the box. Every day I go into my cabinet and decide which one I’m going to use and I just imagine them saying “Mommy pick me pick me!” Lol

The strap on the medium is shorter than on the small. I had them both and can attest to this. (Both were black, so I'm not sure about the beige?)
