I would keep the grey with the gold hardware. I don’t like the reverse hardware, especially not on the black as it makes the bag look fake. I prefer the original hardware.
This is how we roll! Love it. I remember when I bought my 19 in 21K brown and my husband said its ugly (lol), I just said “i like ugly” haha.

I can’t tell you which one to keep but will say that I love my black reverse hardware 19. I kept it over a lovely beige with ghw because I knew I’d wear it more often.
Although another poster thinks it looks fake, I guess if someone thinks that I don’t care! If so,perhaps it will make me and my bag less of a target lol!
I use my bag every day- no worries about color transfer, and the ruthenium is a bit more subtle than the original gold on black (which I felt was too much contrast for me).
Good luck making your decision—- you can’t go wrong either way.
I would go with black with reversed hw! I’m waiting for mine, and can’t wait! Gold hardware on the 19 looks cheap and tacky IMO. Silver hw makes it look classy and edgy. I’ve been waiting for Chanel to finally do this version since 19 LOL.
Some people would assume we have fakes no matter what we wear, so that’s absolutely the last thing I care, and think of while deciding on a bag.
I would go for the grey in small. Also, I think the Chanel 19 IMO looks best in small size.

Hi all, in need of some opinions. It's going to be my 1st 19 bag. I'm a classic flap person but recently fell for 19 due to its edgy look & practicality. The one i'm about to purchase is from 22C medium/large size in black lambskin with reversed hardware. Do you think it's too big on me? I actually prefer this size on a 19 bag but i'm only 5'1 and the small size seems to be the most popular size. Anyway the small is already sold out Chanel boutique in my country
I think the medium/large looks great on you! Especially since you are able to wear it crossbody. Larger bags (believe it or not!) are coming back. It really all depends upon what you need to carry and what you like.
