i say tiffany because the look is complete as you buy it. with pandora, you would probably have to keep buying the beads until your bracelet is filled up to your liking. i'd think pandora would cost more in the long run.

maybe you should check the tiffany website and see what options you have with your budget. that may help you with your decision as well. gl.

i say pandora my partner got me my bracelet on our first valentines day and every time i look at it i remember the love and dedication and research he put into it..its not finished but i treasure it more than anything else he has given me..tiffanys is ott and expensive..

I would love a Tiffany piece of jewelry but i feel you don't get much for $150.To get a really lovely piece you have to spend hundreds or even thousands.

I am really glad i started my Pandora bracelet. Charm bracelets never really go out of fashion. It is something you add to over time & each piece will have memory & meaning. Yes, they are expensive to complete, but it's not like you have to buy a bracelet full of beads at once. It's something to do over the months or years. It's fun to hunt out the beads & to wait for the new beads to come out & wondering what is being retired!

I would say PANDORA...You need not complete the whole thing in one day..and later whenever you have some occassion...or something special..you can add a bead. 10 yrs downline you will have a history/remembrance wth each beads. No matter if its in style or out of style..you will cherish the bracelet...
Tiffany is just over-priced piece of Glamorized Silver///

Sorry for the english...

Why not combine your options? Tiffany's has some very clever charms. You could get a charm now for the most bang for your budget, pick up a bracelet at a later date, and have fun filling it up over the years ....

My husband and I spend about $150 on each other for Christmas gifts. Since I'm new to the jewelry craze after researching my anniversary ring and finding this forum, I don't have much in the way of jewelry. So I'm already thinking ahead to Christmas.

$150 wouldn't get me too far on a Pandora bracelet, but there is an upcoming sale at a store near me where if you purchase $50 you can get a lobster clasp sterling starter bracelet free, or the "Pandora" clasp sterling for $15. So, with the sale, I could get lobster clasp and 4-5 beads.

Or a Tiffany piece of sterling jewelry.

Arguments for Pandora - beautiful, "In style," can have meaningful charms. Arguments against Pandora - will someday be "out of style," very pricey to complete a bracelet.

Arguments for Tiffany - "DUH" it's Tiffany! Always classic, fun just to think of owning some. Arguments against Tiffany - I think it's WAY overpriced. You are paying for the name and romance of owning some.

I was drooling over Pandora today at the mall, but I walked away.

Honestly, I'm leaning towards Tiffany. I mean how fun would it be for us to go out to lunch or dinner and then go to Tiffany and pick a piece? Even if it's cheap. So much more romantic than going to the mall and buying Pandora.

I think I just answered my question...LOL

Ok, I hope you don't mind but I'm going to throw another option in the mix. Just a suggestion. It seems from your question you are lusting over a piece of jewelry but you don't have a specific piece in mind. So why not instead of tiffanys (as you've said its quite expensive) why not get a pair of gold studs, pearls, or some other basic piece? Tiffanys IS gorgeous (I have a dozen or so pieces) but the silver is simply that. Very classic, pretty well made costume but costume jewlery none the less. If you are just starting out a collection why not get something without a name? Your money will go MUCH furthar!

Just a suggestion! And if you go with tiffanys, you could get the pendants and not the chains. Instead of 60-80 a chain a friend of mine opts out and goes to tj max to now buy chains. That way she gets the tiffanys pieces and saves enough to buy TWO pendants instead of one quite often!

Tiffany. I love their designs (many of them are timeless) and their great customer service. Looking forward to expending my Tiffany jewelry. I have asked Santa for Tiffany's this year.

Definitely Tiffany's. Unless she asked for a Pandora. Someone started one for me and it wasn't really my style. Now over $1000 later (in a not very long period of time) I finally have a bracelet that's me and I don't even have the charms on the original bracelet! I made a bracelet out of the lariat and love it, but I spent money and time on something that I really didn't want to start. Just be sure she wants it, some people love them and they can be pretty but it gets expensive especially if you can't wait for things like me.

Another vote for Pandora.

I like how you can change to look with a Pandora bracelet. You can add more charms for a full bracelet or for a different look remove most of the charms and have one or two each between the clips for a minimal look.

Tiffany jewelry, at least their silver line is ubiquitous and overpriced.

I have both, and I say Tiffany.

I keep my Tiffany and never take it off, whether it be earrings, bracelets, necklace, etc.

Pandora you cant really shower with cause it gets ucky.
