j0575. I find some things in the pix that I am not crazy about. I am also not able to open the additional eBay pix. The stitching, stamping and engraving are what I am looking at and not liking.

To all the Dear TPFers, I saw a couple of vintage Kellys on Ebay and wondering if I can have your expert eyes to help me authenticate them. The seller 'javagirl' is a top rated on Ebay but I can't find her on our recommended reseller list. The bags look great for the price.

As always, thanks in advance.

Seller: javagirl!

Comments: Do you think the pen marks can be treated with a spa treatment ?

Item: Kelly 28 CM Courchevel Leather w/GHW
Listing number: 390102899516
Seller: javagirl!

Comments: The bag shows its age on the hardware but wondering if a spa treatment can give it a second life.

these links are not working

Thank you so much Mary! Both are authentic bags The prices reflect the damages/ink marks/stains. Ink will not come out. You don't want to rub courchevel too hard as it is a stamped leather.

GraceKelly: It is sad that the ink won't rub off but thanks again for taking a look at both.

Mary: A big 'Thank You' for reposting the links for GraceKelly while I was out.

You gals are so gracious. Thanks for your time.

Hello. This is my first post, so forgive me if its not in correct format. I have an Hermes bag that I believe is from the 1950's or early sixties. It was a present from my ex-mother in-law, who is Parisian (and who owns many Hermes bags, so I suspect this is authentic.) I have attached photos of it. I want to sell it; painful divorce and all, but need to know what this bag is called, so that I can label and price it correctly. Any guidance would be welcomed. http://www.flickr.com/photos/4334159...7622538597470/

This bag is made of Porc lisse naturel, wich makes it very special. This is the typical collector bag that is mainly meant to the wise H connoisseur.

Fairly priced, and nicely displayed, it will sure reach its market price.

perle, hats off to you for pointing that out...I did not notice at first blush that it is this special leather! :flowers:

amamxr, thanks to you for the ID. i love these pieces!!!

:ty:
Just wanted to give a giant "thank you" to our wonderful authenticators for
all their hard work and willing spirit to be helpful to all of us. Thanks to you, I have a beautiful black box KP from Jill's Consignment, which was
authenticated here.
I've also received a beautiful black Evergrain 35 Birkin, from H*bird, yesterday, with the help of a lovely TPF member! It's been a big week for
me! I will always be grateful for all the help that I have received from
you girls!
Have one on me this afternoon!

Congrats pamella! You deserve it! I hope to see your reveals! :graucho:

Hello,
I have always been an avid reader of tPF but have never posted due to being just a bit shy, I thought I'd better come and say this beautiful oldie but goodie is my bag. I was reading this morning that some sellers dont always get their emails on ebay and would hate for any tPF member to have tried to find me with no luck to ask more questions.

Auction has only one day left and most likely will go another route if not sold there, so if there are still any lingering questions I will be at your disposal to answer them. Thanks to perlerare and the other members here for authenticating the bag! I so appreciate your interest :flowers:

As per my search, this bag wasn't discussed before.
The seller seems to know about PF, anyone know is she's a member here?
TIA

The true questionno s are : What is its actual condition ? Is it in the seller's possession ?

maryg1, hypoxia,

I finally received the pictured I requires from the seller, and more.

So, yes definitely, the bag is in the seller's possession, and condiion is fine.( no tears, no cracking no dryness)

Seller has answered my questions in a clear and corteous manner.

IMHO, the asking price is fair, but might be negotiable . This bag is worth the interest.
