Robee - I have a D stamp natural chamonix kelly and a beige boxcalf kelly. My natural chamonix is marked with "burnt" letters, while my beige boxcalf comes with a leather-covered lock. Perlerare:heart::heart::heart: is much more knowledgeable than me, but I just thought I should chime in.

P.S. Are you still in tokyo? If you need any tips on H/resellers in Tokyo, pm me.

This little treasure in your avatar is so cute. I can't help to look at her again and again !

Thank you so much for the infos about your Kellys... I have seen bags with covered locks, (other than the usual ones) and well, pretty often it is because the previous owner/client had oredred it that way . Were you the first owner of your Beige ?

Perlerare - any chance it cld be vache hunter?
It has a light embossed line at the edges.
It looks like the leather handle on my marwari.

I was checking the reference library, it is available in:
Vache Hunter - Ebene, Vert Foret, Naturel, Rouge H, Graphite, Prune

^ Thanks so much, Perlerare. I wouldn't trade my two dd's for anything in the world.

No, I am not the first owner of my beige. I do love her with the covered lock, but I can't confirm if the previous owner ordered it.

P.S. I am one of your many not-so-secret admirers. I have learnt a tremendous amount from you :flowers:

Could it be caramel in color? The chevre lining looks a lot like my chevre mysore caramel kelly that came from 2007.

Robee, quite frankly I had a doubt about Chamonix because of the golden marking....Usually Chamonix is marked with "burned" letters.... but on the other hand I haven't seen any box leather is this color.
Either a light Beige, or the rare Terre Cuite (a light pinkisk tan) , but not in Naturel.... I could investigate a bit further....about the colors actually available in box in year 2000...Give me some time.

Anyway this does not take anything to the beauty (and authenticity) of this Kelly!!!

Gorgeous bag, Robee!

Perlerare, you never fail to amaze me. All of the authenticators do, all the time. I admit I'm getting better (the other day when that jaune bag was posted I knew it wasn't soleil like the listing said!) but the knowledge that all of you ladies have at your fingertips is unbelievable. Thank you all for what you do for us!
