Understand. I think the missing feet and the wrinkling are my biggest issues. I don't mind the customization of the design, but I have several Bolides so this would not be my first. So I think Cakey is right that her first Bolide should be a true style and not a hybrid. I do love the raisin chev. It is one of my DH's fav bags. He likes the color and the design.

TT, those Home-Built plans can be pretty scary! John Denver, crash, burn and die

GK I know Burt Rutan who designed that plane (not built it), I would suggest pilot error and lack of training were possibly the larger issues in this case (Denver had just bought that plane) and at the time pilot training for new EA was not required. It now is.
No worries should I venture out for the hybrid Bolide, no crash and burn.
Always wanted a shooting star bag, and will still fly in homebuilts, (as long as I know who designed and built it!)

Yes, TT, please give this beautiful bag a home! If I hadn't lost my money tree farm in the floods of '09, I'd do it :p It's everything I want - Bolide, Purple, Unusual, everything but 95% off!

You had a money tree farm, Brennamom? If you manage to recover anything when the floodwaters recede, would you mind sending a few seeds my way? :p

TT, you are one awesome lady!!
I love that hybrid Bolide, but agree with GK, if it was my first Bolide, I would stick to more of the original features, just for peace of mind.
This little Bolide isnt for the faint hearted, in order to own it, you need to have complete faith in it.

I have an interesting book on the last 48 hours of certain celebs lives, and JD was one of the profiles. Fascinating reading but very sad....

And I too, aspire to a shooting star bag! I know it's limitations, but I think the whole idea of it is super cool!

Sorry, Cakey, lost everything....it was a small crop, very shallow, and one good deluge wiped it out. Did manage to recover a few seeds, so we're starting over again. Hope to harvest by Sale Season 2010:p

Raz:hugs:
Like the first men and women who got into the first "flying" machines.
Complete faith~Wilbur and Orville running along the beach with their machine~
or my DD this summer in a Glider sailplane on her first solo~complete faith!
Perhaps this was a craftsman's first Bolide, or an experimental?
The more we talk about it the more I want it! LOL

oh, you need to get it TT,
complete faith, LOL, reminds me of the time exDH and I went to buy his first microlight. Me, who is scared of flying and heights, watching him in the sky, on this flimsy bit of kit!!
My stomach churning, but kind of envious.

I want you to have it, TankerToad. Then I can enjoy it vicariously, knowing it has gone to a good home, and the horizon is still wide-open for my first Bolide. :D

I'd guess authentic but none of the key pictures are in focus so it's harder to say for sure. I would have wanted more pix of the corner rubs the seller described, as well as the pix we usually ask for here.

Hi Ladies,

I'm usually good about getting everything authenticated, but I got caught up in the purchase this time. The seller has great feedback and has sold other H items... I just want to double check before I pay.

Item: 35cm BBB GHW
Item#: 220485717557
Seller: iluvbeautifulthings

I certainly should have asked for more photos. The seller says it's an 02 with only minor corner wear. I made an offer yesterday, but then watched Grey's Anatomy and went to bed. We did some counter-offering this morning (I was using my phone) before the auction ended. She seems to have great feedback, but one should always be careful. Provided the bag is in good condition, what do you think of the price?

I've asked for some more photos. I believe Kaz has had some 35 BBBs in worse condition around that price in the last few months. I know Nancy just had one for around $7400. I've checked toolhaus and the seller has only had 1 neutral in more than two years and it was about a customs fee. Just hoping it's a good deal...
