Hello all, I am a big fan of Tiffany for many years. My wife has many pieces from this brand. Engagement ring, wedding bands, celebration rings, yellow diamond soleste and more.

Being that I am a loyal client I am looking at some 1ct studs (2ct total weight) for her now for our 10th year wedding anniversary. So even though I love the brand I am having a hard time justifying in my head the price. What I am seeing is nothing better than J color but VVS2. Excellent cut, no fluorescence. But it's minimum $20k where places like blue nile are half that. not saying it's the same thing but they look to be pretty good for $10k.

So my question is does anyone have these in any weight and was it worth it to you as a woman to have these vs. something else?

Any input is appreciated!

Thank you.

Checkout whiteflash. Tpfers rave about whiteflash. I have some tiffany’s jewelry that is special because of the design. Diamonds studs are diamond studs. Why pay for the markup when no one will be able to tell?

Some might care if people know but for me it’s because I just love the jewelry and really never have to worry about what I’m getting from there. Not saying from the other vendors I would have to worry about getting something that isn’t as described but it’s really peace of mind. If the discrepancy was 50 or better for sure I might go with someone else but getting comparable stuff seems to be a savings of around 25% from what I have seen.

I will check whiteflash now though. Thanks!

I’m looking to buy a pair of studs as well. I have been looking around. And it is hard to beat the sparkle of Tiffany diamonds. I have several pieces from tiffany’s. And I know I’ll buy my studs there as soon as I am ready. I would go with Tiffany. I know they are expensive but it is worth it.

Big Tiffany and co fan here as well! And i would say go to local jeweller or to blue nile/whiteflash. I absolutely Tiffanys and have lots of pieces from there but for simple stud earings i agree no one will be able to tell where they are from especially when they are worn on the ears

A Cut Above diamonds from whiteflash are the gold standard in sparkle. And no ridiculous brand name markup for something you won't see when you're wearing.

I posted a thread about diamond studs I got from whiteflash. Mine are 1.7 ct tw and I paid about 1/3 of what you are looking at from Tiffany for the 2 ct.. And they are the gold standard in cut/sparkle.

I’d also vote for the Tiffany earrings if you’re able. Personally, I’d prefer a lesser carat weight to get the Tiffany name and quality. My husband got me Tiffany studs for our wedding (much smaller than you’re considering), and I love them much more than a larger diamond set from anywhere else. I guess it just depends on the person and whether the brand is that meaningful to them or not.

On the quality issue, Whiteflash is the only jewelry company in the world ISO 9000 certified for quality. :)
Does it have the name? No.

Thank you all. Really appreciate the feedback. Will make a final decision next week.

I think it depends on your wife's preferences. You can get beautiful diamonds without the Tiffany markup elsewhere. $10K is a huge amount of premium to pay for Tiffany. Just make sure you get earrings that are GIA certified and you'll be fine. If it were me, I'd rather get the same quality diamonds and use the $10K excess for something else ....

I’m not saying you can’t buy an equal or better quality diamond for less money. I think it’s been proven many times over! I tried to be careful to say that I know you’re paying for the name, and that the brand and service is worth it to some.
