Shopping for B-bag in New York

Hi Ladies, I live in Ireland and will be heading to New York for a short break later this year and was wanting to know if any of you out there could suggest the best store to pick up my first brand new city b-bag. Are there stores where you get a larger selection, better service etc?

Anyway thanks for any advice.K

Hello!!!

Go to Barneys dept store in midtown Manhattan. Its around 59th street. Also go to Balenciaga store itself which is around 22nd and 10th avenue.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Bergdorf Goodman dept store also now sells Balenciaga bags. They are on 5th ave - again, midtown.

I'm a Brit now in NY and know what its like to visit NY to shop. Have fun.

As long as you have plenty of moola you will never have to quit shopping in NYC!! The city of fantastic goods (and my, how they do display them - alluring eye candy!!!)

Hi fergsmama,

Leo at Barneys is their Balenciaga specialist and, not only does he know his stuff, he is super friendly and easy to connect with. Pm me and I'll give you his contact numbers. He's amazing.

Also, Kim at Balenciaga is great (at least on the phone ) and honest in her estimation of various leathers and bags. But I've never met her in person, so I don't know about the snob factor with her.

there's alot of stores around the city that you could get it but your best choice is to go down on canal and there you could get anything you want.:okay:

Leo at Barneys is so friendly and helpful, really the best service I've received at Barneys! He helped me hunt down and pick out an awesome charcoal GGH part time. Have fun in nyc!

Just piping in to say that Kim at BalNY is SUUUPER nice in person as well as on the phone. Very down to earth, very helpful, and not at all snobbish. You will not feel strange, intimidated or ignored by her. I also find Bill very nice in person.

Excuse me, McKEnna Annika, but we do not condone buying of fake bags on this forum!! We are only involved with talking about and purchasing AUTHENTIC Balanciaga bags. Please do not post this kind of thing again (anything to do with counterfeit bags, unless you are listing one we need to report and have taken down) here!!!:cursing:

How exciting i hope you find your dream handbag! I moved to the states from the UK and every time i go home i can't believe how terrible the selection is of Balenciaga bags! I only ever see all the dark colours i guess it matches the weather! Don't forget to post pictures of your gorgeous purchase when you return!
