Actually, I thought if the SA wouldn't tell you whether or not the bag you're looking for is there, chances are it is. Otherwise, he/she can just tell you outright it's been sold. There'd be no point for them to have you come down if they don't have it.
The exact same thing happened to me before, so I figured it's their way of playing mysterious. Maybe they've all been trained what to say by corporate.

here are a few more shots. the bag is 30 cm with Palladium hardware. The SA told me it's box, but isn't box supposed to be stiff? this leather is smooth, but soft. looks kind of like my box calf belts, though.
