I think it's actually a charm (the watch). Yeah, that's what I thought too. Pretty weird to do that to a vintage bag, unless the bag was destroyed - hard to tell!

but you can buy a strap right? i don't know why people would use stuff like that as a strap..
if it is a vintage piece in good condition a new strap would be an option i guess, but this? naah not really
