they won the World Series in 1980?, but haven't been in the Playoffs since 1993.....i was still in grade school, so i don't remember it. It's very exciting for the city of Philadelphia!

Oh, so that's why people were out in the streets honking their horns and screaming?!? DH and I were clueless. NE Philly had mobs of people in the street this afternoon. I remember the excitement in Philly back in 1993. I was in college back then.

I'm a Cubs fan too - my hubby and I have playoff tickets for Game 4 of the upcoming series but I don't know if they'll make it! But wouldn't the World Series be amazing? It would probably ruin my commute to work though.
