Changing name through deedpoll?

I have been thinking about changing my name for years now and i've finally decided to go ahead with it now.

I was just wondering if anyone else has ever changed there name with deedpoll.

Did you experience any problems?

if its a drastic name change it seems like a lot of hassle. new bank cards, credit cards, passport, phone contract etc, etc.

I've thought about chaning my last name b/c due to a series of divorces and remarringes I no onger have any emtional attachment to it. But i'd never be able to decide. But i'd always thought Weiss sounded like an esteemed last name.

My stepfather changed his name through deedpoll years ago. It used to be Roots, and he changed it to another family name.
