SOTD to do errands, Carrêve. Love this beauty so much.

And scarf mail from a few weeks ago, my favorite cw of LVdP, and on theme because PYTHÉAS would need the heavens to chart his course!

These are both so lovely! I’ve never seen the Carreve in action and
I'm an original trilogy fan. You could say Star Wars set me on my career path. It awakened in me an interest in all aspects of TV and movie production. While my friends were reading Cosmopolitan, I was devouring American Cinematographer. Although I never did become a visual effects specialist, I did end up joining a media company.

Stars Wars: A New Hope begins on the desert planet of Tatooine. Luke meets Obiwan Kenobi when the latter scares off some Tusken Raiders. The heavily cloaked nomadic tribe are reminescent of our desert dwellers, although Banthas are much more scarier than horses!

And where were the Tatooine scenes shot? In Tunisia - the birthplace of Leila Menchari.

I just learned something new about Leila Menchari - thank you! Beautiful scarves and excellent tie in to the theme!
oh my. The colorway I crave!!
Ty! I love this design and must fight the urge to add more colorways.
Beautiful knot, Snausages! Would it be too much to ask how you did this? No hurry, I’m just curious. It looks like an Iris…
TY! This is my attempt at the Octopus Knot that beleaguered @Living.la.vida.fifi keeps trying to teach me (I think there’s a tut on the show me how thread). Basically you fold the scarf in half (a rectangle) and drape around the neck so the tails are in front. Grab a CdA ring. Thread one corner up one hole and another corner from the opposite side up the other hole. Then take the remaining corners and thread those down through each hole.

I feel like I need a diagram to better explain this

Fresh off a zoom meeting and inspired by the theme, Space Derby in Bleu Ciel/Rose/Vert amande. Plus two I’ve not seen posted yet, A l’Ombre des Pivoines with its floating city scapes and Les Legendes De L'Arbre in Rose Vif/Framboise/Bleu with creatures and gardens from galaxies “far far away”
:ps:

Thank you Snausages! My first attempt looks more like a limp vegetable than a regal Iris:giggle: Must practice! To keep it on topic, it looks more like Taun Taun entrails than an octopus… it would probably help keep me warm on Hoth, though ;)
Will keep at it, and try to post something later, if I can get it to look less like scarf roadkill

Love the inky galactic sky on Space Derby. And of course, the Space Horse racers are on theme. I know I have many twins and sisters on this one, so Ladies, start your engines-- or horses as the case may be!

Twins with your Space Derby as well. When I first took on this weekly subject, I thought that this was one of the very few scarves on topic. Luckily, with a little more thought, other connections came to mind.

Playing with my Laboratoire today I found this:

And this reminded me of Cloud City:

i give up. I don’t know why Pucs keep repeating!

Wonderful connections, Pirula. Love your Cloud City. I bet Hermes doesn't know it is creating Star Wars scarves!

Those adorable Ewoks lived on the planet Endor, a forest planet. Alas I can find no Ewoks in Maitres de la Foret

Your Maitres de la Foret is in the perfect colorway and looks so much like Endor. You look amazing as well. During my planning I downloaded an Ewok photo and was planning to purchase a teddy bear scarf, Confidents des Coeurs, to be on theme, but that ended up not happening.

Beautiful scarves, Karenska! You are correct that Star Wars is not so different than Pytheas in that they still navigate using the stars. According to Wookiepedia Star Wars navigation devices use galactic coordinates, and these refer to the location of star systems in the galaxy.

Wonderful scarves, and amazing connections, @xincinsin . Thank you for mentioning to me that you were an original trilogy fan. That was key to my decision to rewatch all those movies. I had forgotten far more than I remembered.

Beautiful scarves, de vent! Thank you so much for these amazing connections to our theme.

Beautiful scarf, Teaforparrots, and a wonderful connection to our theme of the week.
I just ordered a Selle de Dignitaire as well and am hoping the color way works for me! ;) I'm not particularly horsy but I am finding that the Hermes scarves that depict saddles tend to work for me because the patterns are asymmetrical and have a nice balance of geometric and fluid lines. My Tauntaun will not get bored!

How cool about your career path!

@Snausages I feel like a relic when I see your replies.... how do you fit them all in?? Love your scarves too BTW.

TY! Multi quote is a challenge… instead of reply hit quote, then when you’re ready tap in the reply box and insert quotes

To stay on topic, from the archives L’Epopee detail 70. The Octopus reminds me of the tentacled thing in the trash compactor from Episode 4

What a good idea to wear this bronzy Pivoines with acqua. We are twins and I need to try this combination. Beautiful scarves and you.
