Hi everyone! I have a hardly used beige Clair chanel flap I purchased last year, I took it out to admire today and found these tiny black spots all over that I am sure wasn’t there before because I would have noticed. I don’t think I have ever used the bag on a wet day, and have been storing it in its dust bag in my closet. What should I do?? I’m freaking out a bit..

Try going over the areas very gently with an alcohol free mostly water baby wipe. It's possible the spots might be little grains from the dust bag or something, if you rarely take it out.

I recently had a similar experience with a new Moynat bag (light Pink pressed leather) and returned it immediately. There was no way to get those spots out and it seemed they were pressed into the leather during the process of stamping (no superficial spots). The store did not comment on it as I made an easy exchange instead of a return due to fault, but was not able to find anything on this topic. Curious to see if anyone else has more insights.

I have the same issues with the one I bought last August. I also left it on my shelf and never got a chance to use it. I mentioned it to my SA (I didn't buy this from her). She told me they use this leather lotion from Cadillac brand in the store. I bought it from amazon and tried it. I was able to remove some of the black spots (or maybe those spots were not as dark anymore) and the one spot that really bothered me is still there unfortunately. I will plan to take it to the store soon and see if their repair specialist will work their magic and remove those spots.

I have seen those spots on brand new beige clair.
I have seen this too and it surprises me that Chanel sells these bags as is. I would have added the Beige Clair CF to my collection but after seeing over 4 Beige Clair bags with these 'black dots' I resolved to not add one. I am sure that there are plenty of Beige Clair CFs that do not have these black dots but after viewing over 4, I said I couldn't and I was tired of being quality control.

I agree. I would probably not buy another beige clair. I didn’t see these black dots when I purchased my bag. They only showed up later. It took me a while to convince myself to not care these black dots. At one point, I almost wanted to sell it but then I figured I would never be able to buy a CF at the price I got it for. I can post an update after I make a trip to the boutique and see what they tell me

May I ask which series is your beige clair? Just curious if these spots are from a specific series or just a bad batch...
