Gallerie Lafayette in Paris has an amazing selection.

IMO the best shoe department in Paris can be found at Le Bon Marché on the Left Bank. Their handbag selection is not bad either - more edited than other department stores and no mob scene like you find at Galeries Lafayette.

I like Le Bon Marché. It's calmer than Galeries and still has an equally good selection so you can shop in peace

Rue Saint Honore is a beautiful, relatively uncrowded street with tons of shops.
