This is how mine looked too. I returned and paid the difference for the bagatelle and love it!!!!
If you look at the canvas, it also appears to have some of the peeling issue like the artsy and delightful had. It has tiny little white specks on it like skin peeling.
I love the melie! I'm going to try another maybe in the new year and hope it's better

I loved the bagatelle too but I exchanged it for the Spontini! I sent my SA a text, so hopefully she will get back with me in a few days. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I just really want this bag!

Melie IS really a beautiful bag.

LVHeartsDesire has a great plan, maybe the 2017 batch will be less problematic. I hope ur SA responds to you soon, how stressful!

Just came back from Serrano lv store in Madrid and got the melie...such a gorgeous bag.BUT I do see what I would call some tiny dots. I would not call them holes because it would imply a through and through tear in the canvas. My guess is that they are caused by the canvas kinda stretching a bit from how the bottom is folded. And I could only see them because I was really looking for them....the SA said he couldn't see anything and probably thought I was nuts and said not to get the bag if I was uncomfortable getting it. It was also the only one left in store other than the display. I bought it anyway because at $1400 after detax I could not pass up the opportunity. Plus if they actually become holes I'm sure LV would take care of it. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy my wonderful melie ☺️

I hope everything works out for you on this. I've wanted this bag but keep holding off because of seeing these photos here in the clubhouse. I've told my SA about it and showed pictures and the response "I've never heard of that or had anyone bring one back because of this, but you know we would take care of you if it did." I just don't want the hassle if it happens. So if they offer another exchange are you going to take it or just get a credit and wait and see if maybe the batches coming out later this year will be ok?

I have text my SA a few times over he past week about my third Melie, but I haven't heard back from her. I don't want a new Melie, as dad as that makes me. I just want to exchange to a different bag. My SA told me even if in two years I had the same problem I could bring the bag back, but the repair specialist was so rude, didn't see any problem with the bag but let me exchange. I have had this one for 14 days tomorrow and I am ready to take it back. Now I'm just worried the repair specialist will say it's wear and tear, plus I have the tag hot stamped and I will be screwed. I'm not sure if I should drive the 4 hours tomorrow to go to the same store in Tysons Corner or try the 2 other stores that are in that same area, or if I should drive 3 hours south and go to Charlotte. I could even drive 6 hours to King of Prussia where my husband bought the original Melie.

Hope that I didn't have too many typos, I'm at the hair stylist and I'm so irritated that no one is getting back with me. I also have a cracked Artsy from 2014 I need to return and no response on that either. Now I just need to decide what bag to get if I can exchange for a new bag. I'm thinking mono speedy b, mon mono speedy b or turenne pm.

Updated pic from the one last week. Have had this one for 13 days and it has gone from the house to the car to drop the kids at school and driving to football/cheer practice. IMG_0254.jpg

I'm sorry for you, this sucks! Good luck and I'd like to know how it all ends.
I think a mon mono speedy b would be great, and I hope whatever you decide is a better experience. It's bound to be, right?

I actually didn't go to my usual store. My SA was there working and she never responded to my texts or emails for over a week. I went to LV in Neiman Marcus and worked with a fabulous SA I worked with once before. She was amazing! She gave me a new Artsy since mine was cracked and she returned the Melie and I exchanged that for the Speedy B 25 mon mono. I also picked up a bandeau. I did text the SA I had been trying to get in touch with.
