On LVMH's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/lvmh), they've uploaded a video of a tour around the Asnières workshop. You see the employees working on bags, trunks etc and it's really interesting.

It's weird actually seeing the people who make the products we all love so much, but these people probably don't get paid anywhere near the amount they actually deserve. Although it does look like a nice place to work.

The employees you see in the video, may very well be the employees who has made your MIF item!

That's nice but only the most expensive stuff is made in Asnières. That's the image the house wants us to have... That's why they always communicate about Asnières and very rarely about the other manufacturing sites.

Edit: I was trying to find footage from the recent documentary that aired last month on French TV network M6. It shows Asnières vs. where most of the bags are made in one of the other factories. It's still nice but it's huge and it's definitely high tech industrial production. All the leather and canvas is pre-cut by a laser machine etc... What was most surprising to many of my friends who watched is how it takes only a few minutes to make a NF.
