Wonder what is the rationale for Goyard to open a boutique in Biarritz. But very timely indeed. Will report on the store if I get a chance to go in.

Wonder what is the rationale for Goyard to open a boutique in Biarritz. But very timely indeed. Will report on the store if I get a chance to go in.

What I have read is that Goyard used to have a boutique at Biarritz in 1900 but closed down in 1929 during the Wall Street crash. So, it's like a homecoming for them to reopen at Biarritz.

There is no Goyard boutique in Spain. I guess it makes sense as Biarritz is only 50 mins drive from San Sebastián on the Spain side. I'm hoping I can do a day trip and check out the new boutique.
