Is this normal?

I have a Neverfull mm that I have not yet used. I noticed these two splits in the vachetta piping around the top of the bag. One is on the side towards the front and the other is on the other side towards the back of the bag. I just want to make sure these splits in the leather are normal and are not cracks. Thanks!

They're less splits and more where the piping overlaps because there had to be a start and an end to the piping .. at least, that's how I would describe it.

It normal. That where one leather piece starts and another one is added on.
