I've never been to a wedding, and have no idea what to wear to my co-workers wedding.

I have a super cute lilly pulitzer dress that everyone at work thinks I should wear but my mom thinks it's not dressy enough. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1397933703.514979.jpg

I found some super cute dresses online though.

If you don't think any of those will work, then suggest me something.

All the dresses are cute. Stay away from white/cream colours though. You could always play up a less formal dress with statement jewelry and cute heels. Hope that helped.

Do you think the first dress won't work because it's cream? That's probably my favorite. Or the purple sequin dress. Most of the cream/white come in black besides the first one. That's the only color it comes in.

I have to order now, since it'll take awhile to ship. But since they're super cheap(under $30) I can order more than one to decide between.

Yea, the cream one is my fave but probably not for a wedding because of the colour.

Aliexpress. I'd always heard so so things about it until my mom placed an order and everything came and was really nice.

Since it comes from overseas it takes around 3-4 weeks to arrive.

It's similar to eBay as in there's tons of listings, so I made an account and I just "heart"/favorite the items I like and want to buy.

It's a night wedding. I think it's indoors(it's at a country club).

The first dress you've chosen is too casual-day time, not suitable for night. I think for an evening occasion wedding, solid colours work best with bling accessories, or a lace texture. So out of all the other choices, the best ones are the solid black or solid red. Otherwise, keep looking!

The 1st one is too casual.

The 2nd one looks good.

The 3rd and 4th are too short for a wedding IMO.

The 5th and 6th are ok but make sure you cover your shoulders if you attend a church ceremony.

The 7th is good.

The 8th looks a bit casual. And personally I prefer not to wear black for a wedding.

The 9th is super cute but stay away from white. It is not completely white but it's safe to avoid white.

Not sure about 10th.

The 11th & 12th looks most appropriate.

Just to remember, at a wedding you are a guest, so you don't want a dress that attract too much attentions, because the day is for a bride.

I have a wedding to attend to shortly too and I will go with J.Crew Carson dress in navy color, the fabric is silk dupioni and it looks really great. They have more appropriate dresses for a wedding so you should check it out.

The first dress is too casual for a night wedding at a country club. I wouldn't do ANYTHING with white or cream as a major color. I went to a large wedding where the bride wore a black/white lace number, and a friend of mine wore a white/black polka dot dress. Two people mistakenly told her "congratulations" during the reception. It was awkward. Even if the bride is nontraditional, don't wear anything remotely white or cream.

If I can't find anything I'm gonna wear the lilly dress. Everyone I work with thought it was appropriate and wished they had found a dress like it.

What are your thoughts on either of these dresses?
