This is truly gorgeous! Congrats! (and it looks like the matte calfskin version....doesn't look like deerskin or metallic goatskin.....but gorgeous nonetheless)

Yup, Mon this is the smooth matte calfskin bowler. The deerskin is pebbled like the goatskin. The matte calfskin bags were made w/the red interior. Congrats on your beautiful new bag. Enjoy!
Yup, it's the calf but it is *still* TDF! I honestly love it in that leather and feel it will hold up better than the metallic goatskin in the long-term (I had and returned the goatskin.).
You were lucky to find this from the spring 06 collection in such wonderful, new condition. Congrats!!
Edited to add that Chanel put a coating on the matte calf to resist scratches so you should be fine w/out treating it.
