I bought this bag a month ago at a high end consignment store. As you can see by the date code Ms Speedy isn't that old. I'm considering having the handles replaced. Also, the leaf with the 'Made in USA' is worn because of being held when zipping her up. You can't help doing it. I try not to. I think the former owner used her every day after she got her up until she consigned it. One thing I love about Ms Speedy is she's broken in so I'm not worrying too much about spots on vachetta etc. This is my first Speedy 35. Have had 25's and 30's in mono, damier azur and ebene.

From the pics what I can see she looks great, but the handles on the 2nd photo are black ?!
How about the stitches under the 'Made in USA', are they loose ?

the bag looks great I would ask why?
mine is 14 yo and the only reason i'm still on the fence about it
is becuse if I replace the same things you want I'm afraid the bag will lose it's vintage look
anyway, frim what my SA told me last week it's about 290$ for both handles
and the made in tab is about 35$

if you do decide to go ahead keep me posted as I would love to see before and after shots to help me decide about it

I wouldn't replace the handles. Even if you get new ones they will get a bit dirty pretty fast unless you pay a lot of attention to the handles, not touching it when your hands just touched a public door knob or whatever... too much of a hassle

I agree. Then I'll be stressing about new vachetta which defeats the purpose. I was happy to not have to worry about virgin vachetta.
