Waterman pens are pricey, $100 and up. I bought one at TJ Maxx years ago for $29, and thought I got a great deal!

How'd you fix those so well!?

Nice job! I dig those crazy sandals ... all the better to wear the crazy pants, My Dear!

Speaking of broken flip flops I went back to the site of the denial and found ... sure enough ... a massive bottle of Sortilege De La Galion perfume. Probably 2oz ... unused and pristine for 80 cents .. it looks like this ....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Vintag...rue&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_395wt_889

This perfume smells amaziiiing on me and is one of my favorites.

It's supposedly in the Chanel No. 5 Family but since Chanel No. 5 and I never have seen eye to eye, to me, it's better.

This is a review of Sortilege De La Galion ...

Now I own two bottles of it. And she's right, the Non-Blonde when she says the dry down is dirty. Love it. I have a gorgeous old Chanel No. 5 bottle that is in my medicine cabinet and it mocks me.

I also got OPI Rocky Mountain Rose which is so old I am not even sure which collection is it from. Maybe it's like ... OPI's Red Hot Hamburg. Or as I like to call it ... OPI Red Hot ---->
Hambur(ger)

I got a silk blazer by David Hayes, Emanuelle Khauhn made in France and looks again like a Revolutionary War soldier lost in in the 80's somehow. A Time Machine and Michael J.Fox were there. ... and an Adrienne Arperell blazer with this amazing collar ... all three amazing and all $2 each. EVer buy stuff and think ... "I bet this all belonged to the same lady ... in the 80's" ... awesome ....

I also got some really old graph paper that looks like it's been in it's package since 1953 ...

Here's a great piece about David Hayes ... written in the early 1991.

Despite his do-it-my-way attitude, his clothes continue to be made the old-fashioned way, with fine fabrics, linings and expensive buttons.

Not surprisingly, he is "crazy about Princess Di. No matter what she wears, she always looks like a lady."
As for trends, he believes pretty clothes are the wave of the future.

"It's time to stop trying to make women look ugly, hard and mean," he says, adding that he recently told an influential New York fashion editor: "Things will get better when you guys stop thinking it's glamorous to have a woman sitting on a motorcycle in a beaded gown with her boobs hanging out."
It may not have won him points with her, but his ladylike customers are sure to applaud.

Thanks everyone about the Tory repair. I believe it was Pao that said fix them and so, I did! I used crazy glue and it worked great! When I wear them, I will take an extra pair...just in case, but it seem as though it worked!

Yet another Coach SCORE at Goodwill - found OUTSIDE the glass case:

Wow, a new thread!!

Found this parka recently at VV for $12.00

I read the label and it said "LAD musician"
I had never heard of the brand before, but I absolutely loved the coat.
I ended up googling it a bit once I got home and found out that it's actually a popular menswear brand in Japan.

Their coats seem to go for a bit..

I absolutely love the red colour and it will be perfect for when I go to Ottawa soon.

Happy thrifting!

wooooooow , it's so beautiful

Hey thrifty pals ;)

Tomsmom - that Dior suit is fabulous an you should definitely go for it. It will stand out and give you confidence

Laz - great luck on the vintage perfumes. Don't know what it is about our parts but there is no perfume or nail polish in our thrifts. Oh and hugs to you and the hubs. Hang in there

Raven - so jelly of the Tory flip flops (jelly - see what I did there?? ;)) I am glad you were able to fix them.

Good job on fixing your sandals! I love hearing about rehabbed items.

Suit is AMAZING!!! please please post a pic of you wearing it with the Nightwalkers - sounds like a killer combo!!

Not to make light of scary situaitons, but I have to share my find today thanks to Lazlo's quick answer

Christian Dior skirt suit. The skirt is a pencil skirt. I have a woman's business networking lunch coming up and call me crazy I'm thinking of wearing this with the Jeffrey Campbell Nighwalkers? yes? Or absolutely NO?

Here's the suit that I squeezed myself into the skirt  I also removed shoulder pads the size of my head!
