Did someone give me a fake?

I do not know much about Louis Vuitton because I have honestly never been a fan. I'm more of a Balenciaga girl ; ). Someone recently gave me Louis that I suspect to be fake. Where should the date code be located? The bags Louis symbol stamps cut off if you get what I am saying. I am gonna leave this to the experts and enclose some photos of the bag and dust bag. Please let me know if this is fake.

Date codes depend on bag styles, I am sure if you have the required photos you can ask to have it authenticated.
