Proving that public perceptions vary around the world, partygirl-turned-botched plastic surgery victim Tara Reid was paid a whopping $100 000 to show at the Gold Coast's Magic Millions carnival in Australia for some extra added Hollywood glamour." Their words, not mine.

Rocking a black embroidered John Cavill (a local designer) gown, Tara arrived at the racetrack by helicopter, escorted by a few local rugby stars.

During the big event where she rubbed elbows with Aussie advertising guru John Singleton and his kids, Tara said while she loved living the celebrity lifestyle, she was keen to leave her partygirl rep behind to focus on finding a hubby and starting a family. "I have grown up a lot ... I can feel my clock ticking ... I have calmed down a lot. I am 31 years old ... I was a partygirl when I was a girl, but now I am a woman. I am like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly."

Sometimes the jokes just write themelves.:s

LOL, that's hilarious about the hubby part. as for that headpiece, I thought that wearing a headpiece is part of the ensemble at the racetrack. Every year on opening day in san diego... all the women get gussied up and wear hats... maybe there, its feathers?

OMG. I don't know what she is thinking!

She trips me out- look at the way she stands. She looks like a tool! LOL I should feel sorry for her but for some reason I don't...

Lol I love watching the news opening day to see what crazy hats people wear. Even the guys get involved lol.

Tara's is...interesting :confused1:

Rebecca, I'm like that with the Kentucy Derby and the Ascot. I remember being at Fortnam & Mason and they had the most beautiful selection of hats.

I had the most fun trying on the hats until I was afraid the sales associate was going to yell at me.

Okay, back to the point. I like Tara's dress. She's more . . . um . . . dressed than we've seen her. But not a big fan of those feathers on her head. Um, and maybe her hair should be up.
